This is the only youtuber to stop the cooking at 110 degrees, as you know, when you tent the temp continues to raise. It will get to 113 to 115 degrees, which is a good temp for medium rare. This hunk of meat will cost you over $100 , so don't over cook like the other youtubers do when they take if off at 125 degrees and let it raise to 130 and try to tell you that is medium rare. Thanks Joe, great job

Reverse sear is good,I use the butter method, cover the prime rib in seasoned butter. I sear mine at 500, 5 min per lbs, than drop the temp to 225 until I reach 130.

Just curious what your final internal temp was when you sliced it open. Looked fantastic! Will be doing this on Xmas!

Beautiful looking prime rib. The seasoned garlic butter looked amazing drizzled on. Happy Holidays to you and your family. ✌🏼

Very timely video for me. I’m cooking a rib roast for Christmas Day and I think I’ll try your recipe. Too late to get the Trail dust but I’ll try to replicate it based on what you told us. One question though, after it rested what did the internal temp rise to? Love your cooks Bro!

Hey man how do you like the Yoder?? Can you make an update video on pros and cons on the smoker. If any? I'm thinking about upgrading this year. Its a big purchase for me so I want to hear what people have to say about the 1500s

Very nice result. Next time use all 14” of that Dalstrong slicer and make it through in two passes thus eliminating those “saw” marks. If it tasted half as good as it looked you hit a home run.

Thanks Dave! I'll try that next time. This knife works great on brisket but not so much on this Prime rib. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
