My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
Paints mixed with my PM:
TLP-venus, ballett slipper
NovaColors - super pearl gold
matisse - australian red violet
faux pillow: Amsterdam - oxide black
fluid-art.co/ for TLP and SUP, Silicone mats, Palette knives etc.
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
paints added:
amsterdam - titanium white, blue turquoise
The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell

THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single work step is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)

Love this painting so much. In the beginning your painting looked like a sea horse and hummingbird. The lacing effect was gorgeous with those little cells of colors peeking in & out the lace. As the spin morphed and spread out, it began to unfold and hint of Dali. The colors are just so pretty and expressive. This is an awesome abstract! And, it is instantly recognizable as a Jessica WinterStrom painting and technique. Fantastic and always unique.

You are so right - I should be filming my sessions. At the moment, since I am often rinsing my gloves and drying them, I take photos and make a lot of notes. Do you ever use a dark pillow? I have a home-made one in black and today I added some Polycrylic to it to the same consistency as my colors and used it as my hidden pillow. It appears to have worked and will be a lot more cost effective than a p.m. faux pillow. Have fun at Pourcon Jess. Wish I could fly over for it. I'll be here with Bubba-birdie and sending you Magpie love!

I tried it. The effect was ok but you dont get the same depth. also, I want the colors underneath not to shine through.
