I bought the original non “sup” branded version of this when we went into lockdown last year. From AliExpress for around $15. Identical to the one you have. The only thing worth noting is that the LCD screen is backlit and mounted rotated. If you tilt the unit from side to side you’ll notice the screen is hard to see on angles, and even different between each of your eyes. If you rotate the unit 90 degrees you’ll see the screen works great. So the screen chosen for this unit is the wrong orientation for it to work correctly. Still, for $15 I can’t complain. The battery lasts for ever as I can’t see myself playing this for 6 hours at a time. Thanks for the fun video. Cheers :-)

LOL I had one! I forgot how much it cost in Malaysia, but if I'm not mistaken, mines actually came with a secondary controller. The design of the controller is similar to the NES' controller, but with the theme of the Game Box, with the matching color and the 'Sup' text.

I have this exact same console without any branding. It's a good device for time killing in an area where you can't have something valuable but still want to play some games. There's nothing great about it but it doesn't totally suck either.

There's a budget smartphone that's been generating a good amount of talk around here. Living in Venezuela every dollar counts. So when the Yezz Art 1 Pro came in with an octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and a 6.53 inch screen for about 120$, it drew attention. However, there is a mystery with this phone. The manufacturer says the rear camera is a triple "16+2+2" MP camera. But they never mention just what those 2MP cameras are supposed to be. I managed to handle one of these units for a while and I think those two extra cameras might just be pieces of glass with no actual sensors in there as they appear to do nothing whatsoever. It's like the second camera when you did the teardown of the Doogee BL-5500. Do you think you could do a teardown of this Yezz Art 1 Pro and solve the mystery of the two additional rear cameras?

Usually secondary cameras (if they are there) are only depth sensors. Does the device support Google AR Core? If it does, then it definitely has depth sensors. Also, when something is cheap or free and it sounds too good, YOU are usually the product. Those shady chinese phones are known for data collection and invasive advertisements.

@@Ivy-pe2wz All I know about the company is that they are a cheap phone manufacturing company based in Miami and founded by a Venezuelan engineer. The phones are common in Latin America but I don't know how global they are. There might be some data collecting going on in the background, but there is no intrusive advertising at all. OS seems to be pretty much stock Android. The rear cameras are simply announced as triple 16, 2 and 2 MP. While I agree that one of them is supposed to be a depth sensor (if it's really there at all), what about the third one? Is it a wide-angle? Macro? There seems to be no way to activate it in the camera's UI

@@jesusr.cedeno3735 for a 2 MP camera, since it also can't be switched to by user, it is probably an auxiliary depth sensor. Maybe a nearfiled sensore with another far field one? Also, run a virus scan with Malwarebytes. That will usually tell you the best answer. Of nothing turns up thetr probably isn't much reason to fear.

I have one I got off Wish, knew what I was getting into, the PAL Super Mario Bros ripped ROM was as expected. Gave it to my neighbors' kids as an Xmas gift. The build quality itself is good, the rechargeable battery was a surprise.

I got something similar to this for Christmas. The shape of the casing and the internals are exactly the same, but I just got a basic orange one. It also came with a clone famicom controller (with 4 buttons) that didn't work, but I'm assuming it may work when the console is plugged into the TV. What I want to know is would there be any way of accessing the flash at all to replace the games. Pipedream? Or am I stuck with them forever?

I have one of these. It's white. Even though it's a Game Boy knockoff, it's really cool and has very nice games. The only thing I didn't liked about it it's the battery. It drains too fast. I wish it could be better...

"Hot Wrestle" sounds like a game that could get you demonetized. I can't get over the screen _shape._ That lower right corner has a different arc than the other three corners, and it really bugs me. I've seen some of these handhelds store the games on microSD, I expected to find that inside this one. Not sure if the "Sup" branding was a poor attempt at sounding hip to American teens about a decade after the word was a major part of the lexicon or not. And yes, at 28:58, I noticed the rhyme.

I mean Famiclones are cool and all but they all have the same games and menu style. I really believe if someone would put some good and real rom Hacks and I'm not just talking about skin changes like a complete overhaul and fan created roms hacks. Strange for Chinese makers - Nokia BL-5C battery in the game console! BL-5C is one of the most counterfeited batteries. The sound and the game itself is faster and sound is high-pitched (that happens with the most games). Almost all titles were taken from the Dendy console (popular in ex-Soviet countries in 1990's). Here a little history about me and the console: It was night and i was watching a Videogame TV program here in Rio de Janeiro. They would make sometimes shows consoles styles like this one, like the one time they they showed an arcade machine with around 1000 games, but one day they were talking about this console shown on video, my mom tried to buy it for me, but it was around 400R$ (2000$ i guess??) And she couldn't buy it. Around 1 or 2 months this some weird people in my favela was actually selling these consoles for around 60R$ (300$ i really dont know) then my mom bought it and have this console until this day. Well the console is almost good, i love to play games classics. Good games like the first Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Contra and F1 And bootlegs like that one Mario 14 game which i first saw on a SMG4 video. One thing i dont like is the low battery and when you try to put a headphone the controls bug out.

I have a lot of these portable Famiclones. The SUP that you have, I have one with the same package, bought from a vending machine at Kuala Lumpur Airport, when leaving Malaysia from a business travel. It has a different manual (contains a lots of typos, repeatingly saying "playinging" and a different (smaller) set of games, starting to repeat earlier. The other ones, I bought during a business trip to Dubai at Dragon Mart, which can be best described as a wish.com Outlet :-) The other SUP from Dragon Mart comes with more games (comparable to yours) and: the external gamepad, in copied style of the Japanese Famicom gamepad and connecting to the Mini-USB. I assume (did not measure it), that Adrian, who reviewed such a portable Famiclone, too, some while back is absolutely right that the original NES connector was mapped to this USB port which either serves as a charging port or NES gamepad port, but not as a USB data port. Those which come with a cartridge, promising stunning 999.999 in 1 (repeating after 20 games) are even crappier, in comparison the SUP is actually superior. These resemble a Gameboy Advance SP (the "GB Station") and a bastard child of a Gameboy Advance and Playstation Portable (the PVP Station Light 3000). But the most epic one is the Portable Arcade, which actually does not handle too bad and has most unique games including Kung Fu Panda (which is actually a hacked Super Mario Bros)

i have the black Sup version of this and it came with a micro controller..the controller plugs into that usb port...mine has a diff game interface and music on it but the same games..i paid 22.00 and works fine for camping and stuff a lot of good classics on them
