It's quite sneaky how in marketing "quad camera" sounds impressive, when all the secondary cameras do is detect light.

Back in 2017, I bought an older model Leagoo (M8 Pro) for my mother and she had a blast from it. Ofc It was nothing like first brands, but for the price (about 90€ from AE) it was quite a steal. Pure android with no bloatware, bezels were made of aluminum and it was quite heavy on hand, and it had a better chipset than this one, the also mythical MT6737. The screen was pretty good too even for 720p. The only thing I could say it's that the GPS was horrible, often getting lost using Google Maps. But that was normal with mediatek devices back then.

The design is not bad at all and they put actual cameras instead on fake ones and an id sensor too. Gotta give 'em credit for that! The camera was acceptable but the 6580 was just.... yeah pretty underpowered. Well 6,5/10, a little better than welcome.

I used a leagoo m8 from 2017 to 2020. Pretty solid at first, even with an mt6580 and 16gb of storage but gradually it started becoming slower and more obsolete. I'd love to see more Leagoo reviews!

Really enjoyed your video, thanks. I have a Leagoo Elite 5 in nice bright Yellow. It's fine. I used it for a few years and now my Dad is using it. Sure, it's not the fastest now but it's still very usable. I am not too sure whether Leagoo are a thing anymore? If they are, they don't appear to producing Smartphones. Yes, Leagoo were sponsors of English football club Tottenham Hotspur FC.

I enjoyed the video and would like to see the M9 Pro reviewed if there is anything appreciably different other than the upgraded camera. If not, one of your shorty 10 minute reviews that you sometimes do would probably be sufficient. When I saw the thumbnail image of the front my first thought was, "LG G6 knockoff, whoo!" The launcher also looks vaguely LG UX-ish as well. The back sure looks Samsung inspired though. I like the looks of this thing a lot. A game you might want to add to your testing rotation is "Horizon Chase". It looks simple but it actually struggles to run on Welcome-grade hardware. I have a basic tablet for streaming with an MT8765WA and it is just weak enough for the game to be slightly too stuttery to play.

That default ringtone is straight up a known song, I know a Turkish song that uses the melody but I'm sure it comes from somewhere else. (Edit: I believe it is labeled as LEAGOO-Turkish, I didn't see it the first time. For anyone wondering, song's name is "Seni Severdim" by Yaşar & Yıldız Usmanova.)

Leagoo was my first ever phone that I bought after doing some photography gigs. It was 50 dollars and I was 17. Such a beautiful purchase for me and I felt so independent and proud.

There is an app that can boost the speaker volume btw but the app says to use it at your own risk cause it might damage it .The app is called speaker booster .It works ,tried it .Boosted the speaker just once,not to damage it .

nice review like always, but those geekbench tests are by no means even close to accurate! the CPU already thermal throttled badly from the first failed test you should've waited until it cooled off!

If this is phone was released in december 2017 it might be based on leaked renders of the S9+ because the S9+ was announced in February of 2018. Also the notification sound "leagoo crisp" is from Sony Xperia

No it wasn't lol... It was always a terrible chip, primarily made for use in the kitchen electronics. They should outlaw use of that CPU in new phones. Anything with it inside is an e-waste.

from what I read, the reasoning is that you need to push the button to turn it on, so when you take it from a pocket you grab it by the bottom. To avoid having the open port exposed to rain and stuff in a pocket, the ports are on the opposite side. It's a cheaper way to make it "rain resistant" without actually putting any shielding or anything in, far as I could find.

I had a M8 , Z5 lte, Z6, Z5 ,Z3 ,Z1, T5 pro , all were good for a while , but went down hill fast, even as new! None of them lasted a day , with mobile data on. And they have a reputation of including spyware. Great ?
