Awesome review, and the review I’m looking/waiting for. Probably the first full review for DX340. Looking to upgrade to this one. Gorgeous looking dap. Thank you 🎉

I've been enjoying the DX180's sound signature.

I totally agree! The DX180 has an amazing sound signature, and it's definitely the DAP I use most when I'm on the go.

Hi Yuri, great video/review, as usual. I got my DX340 a few days ago and it came with the tempered glass screen protector already installed. When I installed the leather case a bubble appeared on the lower left corner of the screen protector. I took the leather case and push the air out of the bubble but as soon as I installed the leather case, the bubble would appear again. This happened after several attempts, finally I gave up and removed the glass screen protector and I used one of the included plastic protectors. Since these are thinner, there was no bubbles anymore. On your video I noticed your DX340 has bubbles, the leather case is very well made but it fits too tight when the tempered glass screen protector is installed. Another issue I found, is with the USB Audio Player Pro app (I prefer this app over the Mango player), the maximum sample rate played is 176.4 KHz, even DSD files won't go beyond. I contacted the developer of the UAPP and they're working on solving this issue, the DX340 is very new. They assured me that an update will be available in the coming days and will address the sample rate issue. Other than that, this is a very fine and good sounding DAP, highly recommended. Cheers!

Hi @joselabastida6744, Thanks so much for your kind words about the video, and for sharing your experience! 😊 I noticed the same thing with the tempered glass screen protector when using the leather case. Initially, there were a few bubbles after installing the case, but after a couple of days, they disappeared except for one tiny bubble, I suspect there’s a small dust speck underneath causing it. I agree that the leather case fits quite tightly, which likely contributes to this issue. Switching to the thinner plastic screen protector is a great workaround for anyone facing persistent bubbles! Regarding the USB Audio Player Pro app, thanks for the heads-up! It’s good to know the developer is already working on a fix, I’m sure many DX340 users will appreciate the update. Other than these minor hiccups, I completely agree: the DX340 is an incredible-sounding DAP and definitely worth recommending. Cheers, and happy listening!

The question is 'how does the iBasso DX340 compare to the FiiO M17 and Astell&Kern KANN ULTRA?" I have FiiO FA19 and Mega5EST Bass+ Limited Editon IEMs which are Bass heavy IEMs and when plugged into the two DAPs mentioned you have the best Bass possible. The iBasso DX340 is next on shopping list.

Hi Yuri, can the DX340 play SACD ISO files? Thanks in advance.

Hi Jason, that's a great question! I'm not home at the moment, but as soon as I get back, I'll try it out and let you know.

I’m currently listening to an SACD ISO (5644 kbps) of Wish You Were Here on the MANGO OS, and it works great!👍

Any comparisons with LPGT or Sony WM1ZM2?
@YuriBrus5 күн бұрын
Hi @rishoo007, Thanks for your question! I don’t currently have the LPGT or the Sony WM1ZM2 on hand for a direct comparison. However, I have had some hands-on experience with the WM1ZM2 in the past, and I can confidently say that the DX340 can hold its own, especially considering it costs nearly half as much. That said, personal preferences and synergy with specific headphones or IEMs will play a big role. If you’ve had experience with either DAP, I’d love to hear your thoughts on how they compare! 😊 Cheers, Yuri

Moment you said 100-200 hours of burn in, I realized this was a bias/more likely branded review.
@YuriBrus5 күн бұрын
Hi @hpwrotethis, Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! I completely understand your skepticism about burn-in, it’s a topic that often divides opinions in the audio community. My comments about the 100-200 hours of burn-in were based on iBasso’s recommendations and my own experience. I also made it a point to mention that using the burn-in cable is optional, and you can simply enjoy the DX340 while it naturally settles in over time. I strive to keep my reviews unbiased and focus on sharing my genuine experience with each product. I hope the rest of the video provided value, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the DX340 if you’ve had a chance to try it out! Cheers, Yuri

I don't know about 100-200 hours but burn in of the capacitors in the amp section is real and can change tonality. Not to mention when the components get warm the sound is different than if it was played cold from system boot.
@YuriBrus3 күн бұрын
Hi @BopWalk, Thanks for sharing your insights! 😊 I agree, burn-in of capacitors can indeed impact tonality, and the difference between a warm and cold system is noticeable too. It’s fascinating how these subtle factors can shape the listening experience.

You must be one of those people who don’t believe in burn-in or the effect of cables on sound quality-perhaps even part of the flat-earth or conspiracy theory crowd?
