Good video. Can I assume that since the new driveshaft is balanced independent of the vehicle that the orientation doesn't matter when re-installing. As in slide the slip yoke in and if the back end needs to rotate just remove the slip yoke and rotate until aligned ? Thanks again for the video.

You are correct. The only thing you need to pay attention to the the alignment for the bolts. No specific orientation of slip yoke at all. Thanks the watching

Can you replace the shaft without lifting the rear??

yeah but you have to do it eventually anyways with the truck in neutral because when putting the u bolt back you may have to twist that pinion yoke

it depends on how high your truck sits.

Nice video thanks, one question.... you didn't need to drain the trans fluid? It doesn't come pouring out the transmission output shaft?

Nope nothing came out the shaft. The part it connects to is a spline insert so all you do is disconnect the rear, drop it slightly and pull the whole units towards the rear.

Oreillys has a perfect factory replacement at a reasonable price. Haven't had an issue since.
