I swear I hear background voices just before the 7:00:00 hour mark. How do you record these? Each time I replay it I can subtly hear quiet sounds that are familiar of conversation.

I use an application called Audacity to generate the noise then tweak the sound with an equalizer. There’s no live recording or anything. I did listen, but I couldn’t hear it. That said, I have experienced something similar listening to noise before. That was through a white noise generator though but I thought I could hear subtle conversation outside. And once I heard it, I kept hearing it. I did some research and apparently it’s a phenomenon called “auditory pareidolia.” Basically our brains are wired to recognize patterns, including voices and conversations. When exposed to ambiguous noises the, brain can try to make sense of them by interpreting them as familiar patterns, like voices or conversations, even when there are none. Apparently it’s common enough. Not sure if that’s what you’re experiencing but it’s what I chalked up my experience to. I can definitely say there wouldn’t be any live recording of conversation or anything in these noises.
