Trying to disengage closer arm from pneumatic damper and the screw keeps turning but won't come out. Any suggestions I've been working on it for about 45mins to luck

My door is stuck in the open position. Is there a release button for this type of closer?

@@nicholasponzi4890 Yes. Just pull it harder than you think is necessary to close it.

@@pumpinpetro Pull or push it close? It's stuck at the rail on a 90 degree angle.

@@nicholasponzi4890 Pull it closed towards the door. Trust me it will feel like a hard pull. It requires more force than you think.

When fully open and then letting go, the door closes too slow to engage. When barely open and letting go, the door slams shut. I would think it would be the opposite? It is making it very difficult to find a balance to the adjustment screw.
