Hi David. Can you please tell me the depth of water over your large ledge. I assume that all of these robot cleaners need a minimum depth to operate. Great reviews.

The tanning ledge I have has a water depth of about 12-14 inches. Most cleaners will say at least 1.5+ feet minimum but it's really not the case

Thanks for all of your reviews. Any chance you’ll get your hands on the Polaris Freedom Plus? Really curious to know how well the remote works. I have an AquaSense and it does good on floor mode overall but misses spots at times, would be nice to have a remote for spot cleaning at the end of a cycle. Also like the idea of pressing a button to have it return to the surface for easy retrieval. Also, do you have any experience with traditional hopper bottom pools? Every robot I’ve tried so far seems to struggle in that style of pool.

I probably won't be getting the Plus model since it's the same cleaner but with a caddy and that remote. But from previous experience with physical remotes, they work off a much better antennae and connect much better to the cleaner than through an app. As for hoppers, they are notorious for cleaners to struggle with. The best thing would definitely be a remote control option of some sort. There isn't one cleaner that I know of being corded or cordless that will clean a hopper style well.

@@imdefinitelydavid Thanks, David. Just saw your Hydro 4 review. That one is very intriguing. I imagine you can’t leave your Betta in while it’s running though even with the buoy because of the tether?

I tried it and what happens is the buoy gets caught in the skimmer and they pretty much throw each other off track. Like they drag each other to other spots of the pool so the pattern it follows gets thrown off. Doesn't hurt the cleaners but might lead to more missed spots
