Tarmac is in two forms Jake . One is a base layer with big stones and the other is a finish top layer with small stones. The reason why that car park is big stones and a poor surface is purely down to cost. Most companies won’t spend out on the top layer. A really nice car park looks superb but it’s expensive. Also Jake if you put two float valves on your tank it will give you double the amount of water from the same hose. It would then keep up with your 30 Lpm

How do u get double the amount of water? Do u mean run two hoses off the tap into two separate floatvales
@buddysinsight9834 Жыл бұрын
@@JET2LIFE-g7jthe biggest flow rate restriction is the float valve or ball cock some people call it. Just put a T at the end of your usual hose and pipe it to two float valves. Honestly your tank will fill up rapidly. Time how long it takes to fill up the normal way and then just drop your open ended hose in the top of the tank and time that. You will be surprised

Good to see you are getting some work Jake. I could hear the pain in your voice towards the end there.

I work with tarmac as my main job. Your residential drive is like 6mm stone and cheap soft crap. Then you get the hard stuff like 10mm + that is hard wearing. Dont be afraid to use turbo on the latter

Massive job there ,im loving the trailer mounted kit,Id use a couple of petrol combi paddle/brush wheel attachments to get the grud into piles then a little muck shifter to bucket it away,I'd hate to try and qoute this and cover all the expectations for everyone involved. Definitely a eye opener with this monster of a job.loving the content.

Good vid. My future plan would be to expand with atleaste one Employee to help out and traine up or two. But that’s for me probably few year’s time, once I know I’ve got enough work to cover the wages and mine and the company and not to forget TAX and other regs of employment. But with that said it’s definitely on the cards even if a get some one on part time. But you’re vid did get me thinking of taking someone on.

You need a bigger van or maybe a small trailer for an extra machine and get a part timer / subbie :-). I wonder if they only wanted the edges done as they will get a sweeper in to do the main bit. You mentioned in the last chat that using hypo as a pre treatment or weed killer was illegal. Do you know where this is in an official gov document as I can't seem to find any that classify hypo as a herbicide or a pesticide.

Yes mate 😂. I was talking about biocide not hypo 🙏

I frankly don't understand what the owner was thinking. Didn't he see the lot, before he asked for your services. I do appreciate your results, but it looks to be futile. That job looks like washing a Potato field! I automatically hate any job that is defined as " do what you can." The end result is usually both sides are disappointed. I hope this turns out well for both parties. As always good luck!
