This video made me rethink my decision and considering staying here for now. Life isn’t a race, and this was really eye-opening, thank you.

Easy answer: Identify what you love and identify your means. Recognizing your limits and recognizing your passions are quintessential to more than just card collecting, but absolutely apply here. Recognizing your means at the start allows for you to develop a base from which you can grow in the future. Simultaneously, it allows for an opportunity to make a conscious effort to see what you truly enjoy about the hobby.

Nice video as always! If I started over today- I would start by collecting all of the Blastoise artwork cards for a binder; then wartortles and squirtles- then I would start on collecting ever single card in a binder set- starting from the first card to the most recent printed card! Now that would be a sick collection!!!

@deana60723 жыл бұрын
Amazing video thanks! Move with the waves is so true and one of the philosophies i live by. And People selling one of a kinds and ending up where they started is happening and been happening with pokemon right now like they are bragging about buying a new car with all their inventory but whats a $30k car when you can get a used nicer one like a Lexus and invest $15k on new merch or stocks to keep it going to reach $300k or a million someday. Also THE price differences from back then like buying a Gold star Charizard and Spending $100 was so expensive back then for me and unimaginable to make the transition but now those $100 is almost nothing to me and much easier to let go then back because I can see the growth and worth of it. I RECENTLY got it for $100 plus some trades so I am happy where I am with it. Also Like the laser focus part to noticing and having it is what will make you the money. I honestly thought i was the only one who thought this way tbh like I saw the bigger picture when everyone else was looking at the now and all the way to next week.

REALLY loved this video. I feel that it resonated with my life for quite an extensive period of time. I split with my ex in 2013 and came across this hobby, upon finding my old cards. It took a lot of effort to learn anything and everything I needed to know and I started researching the market etc, and started buying into my new hobby. I ended up living with a mate, in a house that I wasn't proud to say I lived in, but I had very little expenses on a semi-decent wage which (easily) allowed me to save more than half of my wage each week. Rather than saving this money, or having the temptation there to waste it on something, I invested in Pokemon cards. Long story short, I now have a collection that I am very proud of through living a period of my life with minimal expenses and educated investments. Could not agree more with this strategy!

Does anyone actually collect pokemon or is it all just people hoping to profit? I've sold a big chunk of my collection for an average of 5x-10x of what I paid, but I still have a good sized collection that I just cant bring myself to part with yet, despite their value. I wonder if Scott has any cards that he never sees himself getting rid of.
