Union Minister Smriti Irani spoke to NDTV and reacted to Rahul Gandhi filing nomination from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh and said, "I have already created history in 2019 by defeating the Congress president and the then sitting MP. It was the first time that ever happened in Indian democracy...If he had been so confident about winning Rae Bareli, then he would not have fought from Wayanad." "You give him too much importance," Mr Irani said on whether she wanted Mr Gandhi to contest from Amethi.
