It's been almost 4 years since this bus was retired. Couldn't be more sad to see such a popular, common bus in Singapore to be taken away from us 4 years ago. The iconic ZF4HP500 gearbox sound was the main show back then, everywhere you see on the roads there will be a 90% chance of seeing a O405. 4 years later, they are gone, non-existent from the roads of Singapore. Now we see double deckers, hybrid buses plying the roads, modernising transportation. But deep down in our hearts, we still imagine the O405's running on the roads. My mom used to work in Singapore, she was a nurse and every time me and my family visit her in Singapore. My family was born in the Philippines and when we went there in Singapore I got to ride one of those also I got to ride in a bendy bus version of it. Now it’s retired and I miss Singapore big memories I had there. Now I live in the U.S.

I really like this bus so much. I remember the first time I ride on this bus, it is bus service 854 with licence plate number TIB 425R. In about the late 1990s, there is a news announcement that TIBS buses will take over Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange from SBS Transit in exchange for bus service 82 that is originally operated by TIBS. As bus service 67 plies between Tampines & Choa Chu Kang, I feel excited as I can finally see many of these buses operating on bus service 67. More to that, I can also see a longer version of this bus( which they call the Mercedes Benz Bendy Bus model 0405G) on this bus service 67 as well. When TIBS introduced a new bus service 969 which plies between Tampines & Woodlands, this means more of this bus are operating 2 TIBS bus services are operating at Tampines Bus Interchange.

I remember i was 9 years old on my way home from little india waiting for 67 and i was inside a packed hispano habit good ol days 😞 and i also remember being in tib515 something in 2013 and the driver did awesome kickdowns i still remember to this day on 169

Who know the Dennis lance duple metsec, their engine is even worse than the O405 that we used to have! I would rather scrap the Dennis lance first than The Mercedes O405 ! Such a waste!!!
