Now, this train has been refurbished, comes with new announcements and its motors replaced with a newer PMSM. It is controlled by CBTC signalling now. How fast time has flown! And I do miss how MRTs can be this empty during off peak hours 😌

MRT announcments changed in March 2008...All C151 Trains completed refurbishment in 2009...They currently have the same exterior colour as C751B and C151a trains (Black on top, grey at bottom)... They formerly look like Siemens C651 trains which are white in colour

The only other vintage looking train withe the classic SMRT livery, the white red white one with a 9 seat is the C651 :( i hope at least when they replace the R151 withe the C151, C651 and the C751B, they will at least keep 1 of each train and they will be missed :(

At the time in 2005, There was New Bridge Rd Terminal which was near Outram Park station, that however was relocated to Kampong Bahru Terminal in 2018 not too far from its original location. For Kallang, the Geylang Lor 1 Terminal is opposite the station.
