my opinion as a person that does not live in singapore: 1. the left side: should be used (when its at around 0:41), maybe the terminating station should be put on there. the terminating station being on the center right makes it super weird to look at due to the arrow on the left side. also, the space on the left side at 0:41. 2. 3:46, do we really need to put the name of the terminating station twice? should just change the terminating station name in the right side to a green arrow (just like 1. but, again) 3. the background should be plain white in my opinion, not sure what is in the background but its kinda weird for it to be there. 4. 0:21 maybe we dont need the effect for the time before the door closes. my country's metro (bts) used a lot of effect on the drm that it looked like it wasnt professional. good stuff: 1: the time being on bottom right in the same row with the legend is super nice. 2: best version for far! liking the light version more than dark version, the white fits with the interior of the train (i think) (i have never ride on these tho because im from thailand) 3: should be used in the mrt, looked super nice! (might visit singapore with family sometimes later) ❤❤❤

This is our channel's redesign of the DRMD user interface. In other words, it's an edited video, if you've not realised by now😬

Just a question, where did you get the Botanic Gardens symbol for Napier?

You can take a picture of the symbol at the station and then trace it out digitally

Suggestions: - Instead of a green tick when the doors open on the correct side, use a downward pointing triangle - Remove the map in the background since people with sight disabilities may not be able to see clearly - Put the GBTB icon next to the English station name
@AlvetorTransport Жыл бұрын
1) Consistent design language. A green tick was used because it's the direct opposite of a red cross in terms of colour and shape. A downward pointing triangle would have to be complemented by an opposing icon, perhaps a u-turn arrow, on the opposite side. But since there are only two sides to existing/entering a train carriage, you don't need arrows to indicate direction because the telling the passenger whether they're on the correct side or otherwise is enough. If they're on the wrong side, they'll turn around. That's the other option, they know. 2) Good point. You seem to be pointing out the lack of contrast between the greyed-out station names and the blurred background. The background was left there as a personal preference so that the interface wouldn't be plain but there are other ways to mitigate this. 3. Not ideal. Putting the icon beside the English station name would take up more horizontal space, which means that you have to adjust the already tight spacing between the station name and adjacent elements on the interface. It's also not necessary to put it in beside the station name because in the case of Bayfront and Napier, the MRT station doesn't share the same name as the accompanying landmark. It would be inconsistent to place the icon in a different layout only for Gardens by the Bay. Thank you for the suggestions though!

@@AlvetorTransport for your first point, i think using what TEL uses now (green arrow and no entry icons) for the door opening side actually is also great

No no no, honestly using an "X" when doors are closing is the most cringe thing of all. the "X" on DAC on C151B and C151C caused netizens to say that it like as if it was designed by some 5-year-old kid who just learned how to use PowerPoint.
@AlvetorTransport Жыл бұрын
I don't see how it's cringe? "Do Not Board" trains on the TEL are also indicated with an "X" on the STIS screens. Ultimately, "X" is a universal indicator for prevention or "do not" regardless of where you're from. Netizens had negative comments for the STARiS 2.0 because the graphics looked like they were designed in Powerpoint. The reflections, shapes used, gradients etc. all weren't put together in a professional or presentable manner

@@AlvetorTransport I feel that instead of using X, they can use 🚫. It also represents like no entry.
