That RAF crockery fragment dates to the pre-1953 period when princess Elizabeth was crowned queen. The dome-shaped crown displayed over the fragment belonged to King George VI's epoch. By contrast, Queen Elizabeth's royal cipher displayed an upper, heart-shaped contour topping the crown.

Indeed, the ceramicware is what remains of an RAF Mess plate. It was not uncommon for the service to dump surplus and thrash into the sea. Just around the corner from there was a major RAF base with Flying Boats. I'm referring to Kalafrana. My father's uncle served there as a Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps during WWII. He would have eaten from such plates many a time over the years he was stationed there, before it got smashed and thrown away. It's actually probable he might have consumed a meal using that very plate at some point.

What a wonderful video, dangerous at times but you covered the cliff face very well. The colour of the sea near the cave was absolutely beautiful. Suggest keeping the camera fixed to your helmet, must be very awkward going down the steep cliffs just using one hand. Very Brave. So much to see on this small island, we will be visiting in September can't wait. Thank's agaon for the lovely video.🤑🤑🤐🤕😁

😳wow man........not only an adventure, you risked yourself Pierre, but we sure appreciate your efforts. Believe that that area formed part of the Benghajsa Fort just near by and behind the IL-MARA point. Funny enough, and just 3000 meters to the east of this point, another well known DEL I MARA compliments similarly and has connections with more Victorian period (100 yr old) FORTS. Thanks bully 🤜🤛

The coast is just too nice in that area. Pity the scraps whilst on the way to Ta Karlu. Sea was rather calm today like on your vlogged day. Went to Fisherman's cave for the first time as well afterwards, which actually is called Ghar Tentuxa. I had no rope and it was quite a precipice getting into it...very rarely I get a fearsome adrenaline but got it at that point :/ Ultimately it's fun exploring :D

Oh, this is a great vlog featuring fantastic views about the amazing geology of our island. That place seems so virgin apart from some remnants from the British Royal Air Force damping. That cave is so beautiful with so much natural light entering from different outlets making it so unique and immensely interesting, well done. Thanks a lot for having a good challenge to do this fantastic vlog. At times it was a bit risky but you managed to do it very safely, and I think its not an adventure trek for everyone to do. Thanks again and a very well done.👍👍
