I still play around with this sometimes. Until it wipes my save file, that is. By the way, I once did this glitch and it caused the level to act as if it were underwater, Mario could swim in the air. Was never able to reproduce this.

@nickolasharvey1232: That mean you did the power-incrementation glitch correctly but one thing was not correct the Yoshi you used was in the wrong sprite slot, and this can happen when you enter the level with a yoshi, and de-spond yoshi way to early on the left, instead of on the right, also this could happen the koopa that spond out of the shell make sure it de-spond before doing the double yoshi, so if you have the yellow switch palace on, the koopa that fling out might be still alive on does platform messing up the 2 yoshi sprite slot.

This would make a good creepypasta After the game crashes the console turns off and then there appears a Mario looking upwards saying the following messages: "What have you done" "I am stuck now" "Looking up, deep down in the void" "I can't see anyone" "I can't" "It's all your fault" Then the player would go to sleep nervous, the he would see Mario chasing him in his nightmare, he would wake up looking up forever. But that's just my idea, ofc the creepypasta could be a lot longer.

This could be a good creepypasta. It could glitch then you see mario's face then ge goes 'BOO!' then he jumps out and you can't shut off the game then you have a seizure then your mom dies. The End. Duplicate the block where yoshi is at, then get a shell then drop yoshi. Now go onto the new yoshi, then go on the brown platform then spit the invisible sprite at the right timing, watch the clip again and see where the person spat it at.

In basic, if you collect powerups while in glitched states, it runs different code than it should. You can sometimes get glitch reserve items while at specific powerup states. What I did while messing around with this is make a save each time I got to a new state, then went to YI2 and YI4 to see what'd happen if I collected different powerups. You can also test bringing stuff to the goal as well as that can produce interesting effects, too.

this is a frame perfect glitch if you mistake the game gona be crash , if you do correct some memory adress gona be change for example the small mario gona be transformantion in mushroom mario the value 0 to value 1 , you can do this 256 times because mario world have 256 power ups , that is the basic explain

By nature, glitches that crash old games like this through memory corruption can cause corruption to your save files in the game. Loss of the game's save files is not uncommon so I'd recommend doing it only if you have rewind or save states.
