If it wasn't for Game Boy Color, this game would have been for original Game Boy and SNES.

@@pufflepoint I can only assume that the SNES and PS1 version of Shantae would have had distortion and 3D effects in some places (such as water rippling, slime distorting, cannonball scaling). The SNES version would have only been released in Japan, due to SNES's longer support compared to the US (US: 1991-1999, JP: 1990-2003).
