Love the build, your truck looks fantastic! Question though, I'm assuming you are a bit experienced but would you say this is a kit that could be fairly easy for a novice?

+Steven Bowman It really is a pretty easy kit. If you can torque a bolt and set a rivet, you can do this kit. This is a great kit for a first one. The instructions aren't paint by numbers style but if you read through them a couple times you can figure it out pretty easily. If you haven't done much body work, I'd recommend surfing KZbin a little bit about some of the steps. There are also a couple places in the instructions that you could do things a couple different ways. If you get stuck or have questions, there are plenty of guys that will chat with you about it. Mark Smith of course will, and Ive talked to a couple of his guys like Michael and they are helpful. The other guys that have completed a kit would probably help you out too. Chris and Colin both have just posted photos of their almost completed kits. They are both good guys that will help and you can always message or email me too. Main thing is don't get in a hurry. "Dry fit" everything first then you know it will all fit correctly. One thing about Smyth Performance instructions is that they are in the correct order. Doesn't always say why thats the right order but if you do it out of order, you will find out! My last recommendation is start with a good base vehicle. I bought a beat up trashed TDI for $800. Now I'm fixing everything. Kind of wishing I would have spent another $1500 or so and started with a donor car that the interior was in better shape. Of course the body damage that was on the back didn't matter because you cut it off but the front and interior matters. If you are going to invest another $4000 in this project (the kit) start with a car that is worthy. Good thing about MK 4 VWs is you can replace anything and its not pricy. Plenty of them in the junkyards to pull parts from. I guess my last recommendation is don't start a conversation with me unless you have 20 min...Sorry to ramble so much! Seriously though, if you do one of these kits and need some help, feel free to contact me.

they look pretty cool with a GLI/GTI lower front bumper (or even a Votex or R32 Rep) and a little bit lower.
