as an expat, this is the reason I moved abroad. The unhealthy corporate work culture and disregard for employees' mental health is scary. Also, one of the big reason why most of us are hesitant to return however much we want to return.

I have done 21 hours and it took a bad toll on my health that I suffered for a coutof years. The money I earned in that job was later spent for upkeep of my health. As if my youth got sucked out of me in those hours. P.S. I am in service industry since last 14 years.

Work 90 hours a week, make money & power hungry guys rich. And u forget ur family, children, oarents, no investment in physical and mental health for you, never lived life , enjoyed it and then leave some cash for your family and either die of stress or old age sickness. The only reason we work is to get better life but we end up only working and no life... LoL such selfish cheap thinking

Bertrand Russel one of the greatest intellects of the last century had advocated that people should work 4 hours a day and spend the rest of time on leisure. This would allow them time to spend on cultural activities and lead a better quality of life. He argues that in a post industrialized work overworking is completely unnecessary. On the contrary in India we have a set of leaders who fail to understand that it is innovation and efficiency that leads to success. The reason is quite simple they themselves have never been innovative, their successes can often be attributed to the cheap labor at their disposal rather anything ground breaking. With un inspiring leaders like this, its hardly a surprise that everyone wants to quit the country. The demographic advantage is likely to wasted because everyone wants to escape such a toxic leadership.

India can achieve developed country status by addressing key challenges: reducing corruption through robust governance and transparency, modernizing cities with superior infrastructure and urban planning, improving hygiene standards, enforcing effective regulations, and prioritizing a world-class education system. Additionally, fostering higher living standards, enhancing safety through lower crime rates, and creating a fairer, more efficient tax system will drive progress and elevate India to global standards of development.

The suggestion of a 90-hour workweek by the L&T chairman embodies a 'third world country mentality,' where the emphasis on extreme overwork overlooks the need for smarter, more sustainable growth. This mindset, which prioritizes exhaustion over efficiency, is a key reason why many nations remain trapped in cycles of poverty. True progress requires innovation, a focus on well-being, and the creation of systems that foster long-term prosperity, rather than relying on outdated practices that stifle creativity and productivity.

Make people work for 24 hours but in three shifts of 8 hours each for each person. Thus you can make your company work 24/7. Simple as that. Period. ✌️

This 90 hours and Mr. Narayana Murthy’s 70 hours per week policy/remark are irrelevant and may cause mental and physical fatigue/deterioration. 😂😅. Max. must be 55 Hours per week for better work life balance. 🎉
