I have been using the advanced snail 96 Mucin power essence for at least 3 years.. I'm on my 7th or 8th bottle of it and I do think there's a difference when using this and my hyaluronic acid it's not as tacky and I use both but when I put the snail mucin on after my hyaluronic acid my makeup goes on so much better smoother and I'm getting an extra dose of hydration that last all day and since I've been using it for at least 3 years I can say without a shadow of a doubt My fine lines and my pores look amazing! I wish I had a before and after photo I can post on here but I guess you can't post photos on the comments, but I'm not lying because I would never want anyone else to go out and buy a product that someone made false claims on I've done that and it's irritating... This is my truthful statements I will continue to keep using this product for as long as it's on the market, but in my opinion I do see a difference between the hyaluronic acid and the snail mucin, yes they both do great things but I don't think they do exactly the same thing but everyone's skin is different this is just my opinion it's a great product but there are alternatives so whatever works best for you... keep doing it you know your skin better than anyone else thank you for uploading all your amazing content, I'm sort of a silent watcher I rarely make any comments but since I use this product religiously I felt the need to chime in and sorry for the mini novel I just posted I text talk I don't have the patience to manually text in every letter so for those of you that took the time out to read this mini novel..lol. thank you so much.. Have a beautiful blessed day 🧡

I started my Korean skincare journey with Cosrx Snail mucin. It’s been 3 years now, it was a holy grail for my skin, but the urge to try out other products the snail mucin got pushed to the back of the cupboard. But my skin has been playing up this past year with possible menopause acne. I have now gone back to my basics and restarted the Cosrx snail mucin and my skin has improved loads again. So I love this product. I tried the jumiso one but I didn’t feel like it did anything for me.

Hello 👋🏽 my friend Rob, to be honest, when I first heard about snail mucin years ago; I thought yuck and what about the snails? I have tried a vegan alternative snail mucin and it is not for me. I prefer other hydrators you have suggested. One under sung hero in my opinion is a facial essence. That has been a game changer for me. One thing is you have to use it correctly. Cleanser, toner, essence, serums, moisturizer, facial oil (PM). Let the essence sit on the skin for 15 seconds before applying your serums. Anyhoo, wonderful video and I do love Yam extract. Dear My Dew is a great brand. I use their Azelaic Acid Serum. Thank you 😉🌷. Cheers 😉🌷

I often you the 96 snail mucin as a morning moisturizer. I have oily skin and have chronic hormonal acne and I love how fast my skin absorbs it so I don’t get oily like with most moisturizers and hydrating products. I am definitely more hydrated and bright when I use their moisturizer. And while I am very allergic to dust mites (too much in the air and I can feel like breathing is hard) but I have never had a problem with it.

Never tried it as just the thought of millions of stressed out snails en masse grosses me out. I recently looked at the inci list for the Cosrx peptide serum, and was surprised to find out that "this product contains a fish derived ingredient" according to a response from Cosrx to a question regarding whether it's halal or vegan. No idea which ingredient that is. Then I discovered that many peptides in skincare products are from processing fish. I had no clue!

For me, it dried my skin to no end! I don’t know if it’s because of the hyaluronic acid and cold/drier weather hitting, but after a few months (I had no issues during summer and early fall when I started using it) I had an eczema “outbreak” on my face and neck that hadn’t happened in years. So, my first reaction was to use more and think it was not related, but omg it made it worse. I had to stop everything (retinol, vit c, etc) and only used an oil based cleanser, not even make up! The aminoacids b5 from the ordinary helped, and the thickest most basic eucerin moisturizer. After a few weeks I am starting to recover. I still haven’t been able to reintroduce any actives though 😢 I also read on a few places of other people that experienced dryness… I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️

the cosrx snail mucin made my pores so noticeable on my forehead, had to stop using it. i also really question how ethical the treatment of the snails can be at such low prices for these prodycts. yes, they say they don't stress the snails bc it would be bad for production, but i suspect they kill them cruelly later on. just a suspicion, based on prices. and yet, i'm still tempted by the jumiso peptide snail mucin products..

For me personally snail mucin essences does not work. And i realized that when i stop using it before my other serums. My peptide serum and vitamin C for sure work better without snail mucin. I think it blocks my other serums. I am super fine with just my Holika Holika toner or other toners. I am wondering generally if the "essence-step" in a skin-care routine is essential, or it has to do more with commercial benefits for the companies. I don't know...Filakia from Greece Rob!!

Maybe you could do a research on snake venom serum too. Of course I mean the peptide that is developed after real snake venom, namely Syn@Ake. It works totally different than snake mucin, which I personally am not a fan if (did not much for my skin). Snake Serum works by slightly paralysing the musculair/nerve movements in the skin, therefore minimising the formation of fine lines , LL wrinkles and so on. I use it quiet regularly, with visible effect. Make sure to not pick fakes from China, but tried and proven brands!

As far as I can tell about the snails, it's at most a little uncomfortable; they secrete the slime in response to the irritation to cushion themselves, so the fact that they produce the slime is what keeps it from being harmful. YMMV on whether that's over the line for you or not, of course. Otherwise, I think you have to look at when snail mucin got big. Ten years ago, an ingredient being really hydrating was enough to wow people just by itself. People hearing about it for the first time now are gonna be having wilder expectations for mucin by itself. Plus, I think the 'ick' factor makes people kind of go 'wow, if people put this gross stuff on their face, it must have incredible results!'. But if you go into a snail-forward product with the expectation that it's going to hydrate your skin, I think you're in a good place. You're right that a lot of it is just expectations.

I also have a nice Geek and Gorgeous peptide serum,so I don't have to change my Cosrx mucin for some other brand. Do I expect snail mucin to work as a retinoid will,no! Of course not. I just use a separate retinoid product. And yes, snail mucin can irritate some people's skin. But that applies to every other skincare ingredient. So,to summ it up,I don't think this generalization of is it the end of snail mucin is nessesary. Every single day we see people on you tube raving about some new " life changing " product. It is not going to be ok,if they talk about the same over and over again. For us, it is left to decide what is good for us and use it consistently in order to see results. Personally,I will keep using snail mucin as an addition to my skincare, because I love the way my skin looks after each use.

I got on the bandwagon like everyone else and tried the CosRx Snail Mucin and my skin didn’t like it at all. It turned red and I never saw any improvement and ended up giving it to someone else.

Just got 3 bottles in. Nobody should expect retinol like benefits from snail mucin thays crazy but I will say that it helps definitely assists me in working with tretonoin as its the last layer before I slug. It’s one of the reasons I can use my tret daily with 0 sensitivity or side hydration effects. We are more likely to develop a sensitivity to hyaluronic acid because of how many products it is in. The mucin is not.

Hey hun, how are you? I think a lot of it comes down to how over hyped it became and how it found its way into everything.. I agree with you totally, if it works for you and you choose the right dedicated mucin serum or essence then it can be a great addition to the routine.. sending love xx

Nope! Not for me! I can’t get rid of the image in my head of snails slithering across my face and it makes me gag! I’m happy for them to be in my garden but that’s where I want them thanks 😅

I’ve not used snail mucin, and won’t because of concerns I have about how the mucin is produced and how the snails are cared for. I’m not vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but if i wouldn’t rub a snail on my face, I won’t buy the product. Xxx

I used cosrx snail mucin. It gave me more fungal acne, so, I shifted to Tiam essence, I prefer Tiam essence. I later purchased hado Labo ( yellow bottle) as substitute since Tiam is now scarce in Nigeria, I hope it works.

The concept just never really appealed to me. Though I did always fear missing out. That lessened bit after this video.
