How did you learn all of that to know what you’re doing? I try making music on GarageBand with my iPhone and I could never really make what I want since I really don’t the technical stuff around it, like how to make things have a legato or something. I like edm and watching this video made me realize I still had a lot to learn. Do you have any tips or advice for starting out? I’d like very much to know

In terms of musical theory, my mom forced me to take piano lessons for 10 years ahaha so I have a lot of experience in that regard. As for the technical aspect of GarageBand, I try to experiment as often as possible to push the daw to its limits lol. Suggestions to beginners: don’t be afraid of experimenting whether it’s merging and reversing tracks, trying plug-ins, or adjusting the instrument knobs ti automate cutoff/reverb/etc. Also layering is important (adding the same chords/melody to two different instruments). But yeah just keep trying stuff and you’ll get the hang of it

Not sure, if it doesn’t work by following the video, try building the whole chord by just copying and pasting the pitched note over itself and then moving each note to the note you want. (Sorry I’m not really sure how to explain it)
