Is the nose fixed but the mains retract?

No…it’s a fixed gear Saratoga with the main pants off for soft field practice.

@@robertcampbell3120 exactly. The field is a little soft in some spots and I don’t like dirt and mud getting inside the wheel pants. It is a pain to clean them. I the nose gear doesn’t have a lot of weight on it during the landing where the soft spots are at, so didn’t worry about that one.
