How this makes me feel to see guys like you that i idealized growing up in the 80's that i would never have picked up a guitar and start playing to see you get a signature i can only imagine how you feel Sabo . it should have never took this long a lot of you guys from the 80's was unbelievable on the guitar and to hear people not give you guys the credit you deserve this is long over due. i love this guitar and if i can get my hands on one it is mine

This is a great guitar. The 85-T pickup sounds fantastic. Very mid focused, really has that distinct cocked wah sound. Great for the raunchy distorted tone of the first Skid Row album. I actually contacted Gibson to find out if I could buy just the pickup and they basically said, "We're glad you like it, but no."

The two used ones I've tried out since suck. The wiring and pots are junk.. and from the two used ones and a new one at a huge chain store I tried had sh+t fret jobs.

I'd be inclined to blame the amp settings rather than the guitar tho. Mega amount of gain and a tube screamer to top it off, doesn't translate well when you're listening to it on a mobile phone.
