Don't get me wrong, though, more Rex! He is a charming animal for all of his unfortunate past, and alligators are so intelligent and interesting. Does he ever get to free range in the spring and summer outside? Do you have a securely fenced backyard? I like to think about him able to scoot around in the grass , sunshine, and shade. I should think Rex would make a very successful spokes animal for not keeping exotic pets if you do not cannot truly commit to the whole life of a full-grown animal. Good Heavens, who could commit to a magnificent creature like a full-grown alligator?

@Atruis6 жыл бұрын
Its always so disappointing how people treat their pets...they just treat them as props or conversation pieces, and seeing how Rex lived for most of his life is just horrible and makes me sad. I am so glad there are people like you take in reptiles that have been misused or just neglected/abandoned by people that could not or would not give them the proper care and respect these magnificent creatures deserve. Keep doing what y'all do, you're really making a difference! :)

Is a 4 foot vivarium good enough for a male common boa?
@chelseylowry44007 жыл бұрын
I believe you'd want at least a 6 foot enclosure for an adult. 4 foot would be a bit cramped for a 7-8 foot snake.
@pxrisxiv7 жыл бұрын
Chelsey's Living Things would you say 5 foot minimum? I have a 6 foot space but idk if it will be a tight fit or not :(
@chelseylowry44007 жыл бұрын
If you get it as a baby/juvenile you can keep it in a smaller enclosure until it gets big enough to move to a 6-8 foot enclosure. Some boas can get over 7 feet long, it really depends on the individual. You can get really nice PVC enclosures from Animal Plastics and their 6 foot enclosure is ~$450.
@pxrisxiv7 жыл бұрын
Chelsey's Living Things i think the vivarium I'm getting will fit, it is 6 foot but I think the spot may be a tight fit, I'm gonna use a wooden vivarium, cost about £150 about $180, I'm probably getting it as a hatchling at the end of the year, will go into a 3 foot viv and then moved onto a 5 or 6 foot and then my corn snake will move into the 3 foot viv.
@chrisreeves54877 жыл бұрын
That should be ok for a male which usually stay about 5-6 ft, females usually about 8 ft, those would need a larger space
