"It could be way worse than this!" - squints at my male hognose, who has just started eating again after an entire winter of refusing not only pinkies, but all the hognose feeding tricks in the books - A truer statement was never spoken :P
@FlailTV4 жыл бұрын
Ugh I just went through this with my hoggie. He was off food for three freaking months, and I tried so many different things. I brained, I scented, I even tried slivers of chicken heart and he was just having none of it. He lost like 7-8 grams, which was a tenth of his weight, so I was freaking out. Eventually, I went back to the smaller fuzzies I'd previously got from a different supplier (different from the one I was getting the slightly larger fuzzies from when I thought he'd grown out of the smaller ones, and he DID eat the larger ones just fine for awhile), and all of a sudden he was like "oh yeah, food!" So either it was a total coincidence and he was ready to start eating again anyway, or the mice from that supplier are the only ones le likes enough to eat when he's feeling picky. But he seems to have developed a hatred of tongs, because even though I always tong-fed him before, now he refuses to touch the mouse unless I put it down and leave him be. He just headbutts it and hisses like a little jerk if I try to wave the mouse at him.

Tip: for the lavender hognose, put a (try dark and light) yellow tinted background behind her or a yellow mix of colors behind her (flowers would look pretty). Love that you have shown what the hoover is capable of picking up, it is so helpful, thank you :) I am on my 4th and it's doing alright so far haha. At once I had 6 hamsters, 4 fish and a cat and all the bedding and fur killed my hoovers. I am waiting until I finish my animal management course, then I will get a bearded dragon. I have fallen back in love with them since starting the course. We have 1 bearded dragon, 2 leopard geckos, 2 hamsters, 6 fish and an African Pygmy hedgehog in the classroom and I think we are getting another reptile when we go back for year 2. You guys keep all your snakes in great habitats. I watched other videos where all they have is a box. I was told this was normal, but you guys find a way to give all you snakes happy lives.

I love that she got named Olive Oyl in the end. Yes...a perfect name for Popeye's love. xD Also, love seeing that beautiful lavender hognose and the adorb dekays.

They say in a different video that they are the same thing. When I was in pre-K though I used to love playing with Rollie-Pollies not knowing that they were so important to the reptile world! 😁

That comment was written by my 8 year old son who watches you every day in lockdown! He has loved reptiles since he was very little and looks after his bearded dragon and ackie monitor very well ❤️ his main love is lizards and large lizards like Asian water monitors ! Thanks for the videos. My son is a huge fan .
