I want to say that every time I hear this I cry. I was in military and all cultures stood together lifted each other up. We stood for the same thing. This song shows extreme stereotypes of race. We need to realize we are all one race the human race. We all want stability, security, love, opportunity and a world where we can be proud to leave it to our kids. When we all can sit down and have conversations we hopefully can reach goals to make the world a great place period

The song/video is doing exactly what I believe he intended for it to do and that's make people uncomfortable enough to cause them to reevaluate themselves and their way of viewing others who are different(only by skin tone) according to their stereotypes! It takes a certain level of maturity and willingness to learn in order to appreciate just how powerful and so very necessary this song/video is right now! Great shit Joyner!!!! I love people....Color has never been and will never be an issue for me!!! It's who you are as an individual that matters to me!!!

IMO he intended it to shake people up, sure. I agree 100%. I think he also did it to show you can have a conversation, disagree on some points, and still be friends...or if not friends at least respectful to another person. To TRY to understand where they are coming from. PROTIP: You will fail. But like socks at christmas, sometimes it's the thought that counts. Also, at some point you will wake up and your feet will be cold. And then you might think, "goddamn it. Thank you, mom/grandma/dad/grandpa/lame uncle or aunt. My toes are warm." And, "goddamn I'm glad you bought me those socks, and I feel like shit for not appreciating them". It doesn't stop at your family though you know. There ARE people out there trying to hurt you. But most people are actually trying to help. The way the argument is presented...may...be...not the best. But usually it comes from a good place. Sometimes, it's even *gasp* ME/US that is/are the bad guy(s). They were just trying to help...and we let our ego get in the way. "FUCK that guy," you might say...but in reality, all you are really saying is "fuck me". I/you won that battle though. I/we have convinced myself/ourselves of it. This, is what he was trying to showcase. I think. Maybe not the sock thing. Kinda went off on a tangent there. So moral of the vid/song is this - socks. Yeah. Nailed it.

I'm white and I grew up on Pac, he was a poet and a prophet. Greatest rapper of all time, but he was also a scholar, he studied philosophy and it came out in his persona and songs. He wrote poetry books and he was the type of person that really would have studied Einstein and Steve Jobs. A lot of people only focus on the negative sounding songs from the Death Row era, but he had a lot of positive and uplifting songs too, like Keep Ya Head Up, Smile, Dear Mama, Changes. He accomplished so much in such a short life, just imagine if he had lived.

At least ye understood the video. The video was not planning to separate people into 2 groups White and Black. You are meant to understand the stereotypes from both sides and know that both are wrong. I loved the reaction!

Great reaction guys. My take on it as far as the lines about not being around back then go is that people who’s relatives went through it and are affected by it is just as respectable as the guy affected by our forefathers and what they did for this country which is the whole point and meaning behind “making America great again.” It’s all about respect man. It takes an open mind and intelligence to be able to entertain both perspectives which is what this world lacks most of you ask me ✌🏼

This song is a great one... People need to understand that there are stereotypes on both sides. There are truths on both sides. There are faults on both sides. But its the religions, government, and wealth that feed off these differences and push these differences. White people need to understand that not all blacks are drug dealers and thieves this is a image thats pushed on them to divide us.... Black people need to understand that not all whites were slave owners and not just south were slave owners.. One of the biggest slave owners in south carolina was a black man.but thats not what you learn in history books... A systematic agenda is pushed on all races to further divide us... The democratic party was the one that started the ku klux klan to stop blacks from voting, but you are not taught that either... We are all people, at one time in our history every race, every religion, females, gays, were either hated, enslaved, beaten, held down... The problem comes when they take those physical chains off but were mentally still locked down.....

I think Joyner was just trying to show both sides and i think he agrees with points on both sides and the point is there shouldn't be sides we need to talk and understand each other instead of disregarding people and saying you're racist, find out why people are the way they are so you can find some understanding in it.

I’m white and grew up in delray Alexandria va.. Washington DC 5 miles away ..different in 60’s .A suburban ghetto.. Courts sent me away after my dad past .. yeah I would say there’s a lot of white privilege it skipped me but that’s that’s not to many friends growing up .. I don’t trust folks period so my friends were very few both black and white my choice ..the streets are hard There is no racism the real word in the real world it’s hate pure hate let’s have some f#%ing understanding I’ve seen all sides It’s taught and handed down from generation to generation house to house church to church .. your claim to fame How to end hate..is the question ? My family parents didn’t teach hate .. my brother hated blacks real bad very deep hate something happened to him but never said why he hated the way he did . I’ve seen the same hate in other families both black and white. It’s not going away ,so what’s next war ? War would breed even more hate .. US government.has been dividing us through media music Hollywood.. not just black and white all of us ..dividing men and women religion gay straight right left ... Government knows it’s easier to control individual groups then one big mass of 330,999,000 people here .. That’s why corruption is in our government we need to be one voice one people United as a nation we could be number one Dividing and separated we ain’t shit just a bunch of mouth running bitches in confusion and chaos in Hebrew perversion and confusion are the same word we need the most high back in this nation without God where done !!!!!!

These 2 are both actors who are friends of Joyner's. Joyner is half black and half white. Both sides stated some facts, both stated some bullshit, but no, most of us do not think that way......except for the facts that I mentioned. In America, black culture is just a part of American culture, and it's open for everybody!! Or let's just go kill Eminem for rapping and Darius Rucker for singing country!! See how stupid that sounds?! As a chef, that we don't know barbecue (when we invented it) line really pisses me off!! I mean that's what Texas is world famous for! But none of it really matters, the rich want us fighting against each other so we don't rise up and kill them all!!!

Omg u said what I said but then again I'm drunk and I don't like people who have are racist we are all equal like god bmdam we all need to get alone u know we need to stick t together even know we are all the same God made us the same either way so we need to treat each other the same you know I love that you guys agree with this song because like a lot of people don't get it it has to do with two perspectives bring into one so therefore it's equal both sides of the story and I don't do what that race is card because I'm white I also a little bit of black but at the same time I hate no offense to white people was just I'm white I just don't like us because when we get money we act like we're better than each other but when black people get money that act Ethan you know I'm saying that's what we need even know we're good you know we're all equal I love everyone for who they are I'm a Loner but at the same time if I would to be social and have a social life I would choose to be around black people no offense to white people but I am white and also black but at the same time I'd rather hang out with black people not a racist thing I love everyone I'm sorry for blowing up your conversation by the way nice video
