Thank you Living Zoology. I hear your message of conservation loud and clear in your videos which are, in my opinion, the best nature videos I have ever seen. Allowing the sights and sounds of nature to speak for themselves without the distraction of human commentary or footage. It's as close as I can be without actually being there and I watch them over and over. Thank you again.

Thanks a lot! Yes, Green anaconda is the largest snake on Earth! The 2-meters long adult male we found was still a light weight!

lovely work once again. The snail eater was the star Oof the show with its massive spots, what a doll. if i were retired from my job, i would buy a snail filled garden house, then cage in the yard with a mesh , fill it with snail and slug eaters and throw panacur or ivermectin in their water bowls/ponds , as i have heard they often die of parasites when captives ; it would be a great spot to sit, like being immersed ....in a LIVING ZOOLOGY video, and throwing in a 1.1 pair of Immantodes cenchoa wouldn't hurt . I'm looking fwd to your next ! i have photo herped in Thai, Bali, Java, Borneo, etc, and hope when Covid is [decided to be] erradicated , you'll do South east Asia, AKA Snake Heaven on Earth !!! I'm sure many of us can't wait to see your video work on Boiga, Trimeresurus, the many Pythons, as well as the ubiquitous O. hannah, and C. ornata/paradisi in action (flight) , et al . It'll be epic !

Stunning videography, as always. Now that coral snake violates all the "rules". Red and yellow do not touch, and the snout is not black. It does have the fat lip look, however. And the ornery defensive convulsions are reminiscent of eastern (US) coral snake defensive movements, though the latter species does this while locomoting. I don't know why but somehow that motor pattern says something is not right here-- stay away. I wonder whether that is the instinctive response of these species' potential predators.
@LivingZoology2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes, coral snakes in Latin America don't obey any rules :) The colors and behavior certainly say - stay away!
@evan69012 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! Was a very informative read. Can I ask what locomoting means? I assume it’s to do with travel?
@geist-02 жыл бұрын
@@evan6901 Yes, "locomotion" refers to travel by an animal.

I thought coral snakes had black noses and scarlet kingsnake were red, besides the color pattern is also from the scarlet

Coral snakes have various patterns in Latin America, you need to be careful if you don’t know them well.

In Latin America, you should be careful with any snake having colorful bands. The rule does not work and there are coral snakes with many different color schemes.
