I suggest you wrap the plastic bottles so that the algae will not present. But if your plan to harvest it within 1 month, no need to wrap the plastic bottle.

Wow, great plants but a ton of algea; I had to wash out, replant all my plants because of it last year and learned very quickly, to wrap it aluminum foil or paint it black; this way, you can reuse it without the huge hassle of cleaning it …..
