Nothing beats an epiq box. Drawers are bigger in the 68 than the 84. I own both sizes
@HeyDerFolksАй бұрын
Interesting, bigger as in wider or deeper? He had a 68 inch epic for sale on the truck today and it was the layout that I wanted but had the power drawer which I don’t really want. I’m still not ready for the new box just yet, but my plan is to start seriously working on it in 2025. Every time I open the drawers on my husky I have to shake my head, simply no comparison

I bought a krsc430 roll cart instead of the huge box. Been filling it with all snap on and it's huge to me coming from a 26" craftsman I got in the 90s. See so many huge boxes for sale, nobody seems to want the room they take up. The slide top roll cart was the right choice for my needs and I love it.

So funny you say that, I have been perusing the Vyper site as of late because I am very much over and done with this $20 Husky tool. It squeaks in the video, is uncomfortable, loose, and when I first assembled it half the bolts were stripped out. The biggest issue I’m having with Vyper is whether or not to go with the big tall boy, or the lower one. Which would you recommend?

I just buy husky boxes because I don’t really have to worry about locking my stuff up

If you don’t mind me asking: Do you pay retail on the truck? If not, any advice on broaching the topic of a discount with your dealer? I’ve been making some larger purchases and I’m not sure if/when I’d be offered some kind of discount.
@NiiTroClanx6 ай бұрын
Offer cash. Usually, they fold for cash.
@HeyDerFolks6 ай бұрын
I pay retail on the truck, yes. These days I try and step on the truck only once a month so I can peruse the new promos and flier in hopes of finding a deal. In terms of broaching the discussion regarding a discount, I do not yet have any first hand experience to share. What I’d say is that they’re definitely forfeiting some % of their income to CC fees, so if you’re able to offer cash (as another commenter suggested) that _may_ get you a 2-3% discount, equal to the interchange fee. I also wouldn’t be shy about asking for “best price” if/when you have a handful of big items in tow. Lastly, when we talked about me potentially getting into the Epic, I asked about the latest flier which touts “$9,000 in incentives”. Part of the incentives is a discount, and it’s inclusive of all purchases, not just the toolbox. So he showed me on his computer, for example, that if I spent an additional $1,500, I’d be eligible for the next level of incentive which was $900 off. I’m not sure if they run these kind of deals all of the time, but if you’re making the purchase soon I would inquire about the incentives in the May flier.

Stop wasting all your money on snap-on stuff. You can buy other brand named tools at a lot cheaper price that does the same job. SP tools make a good range of toolboxes and again they cost a lot less than snap-on boxes. The money you will save will soon add up to enough for a house deposit.
@HeyDerFolks5 ай бұрын
Terry, thank you for your comment. The Snap On stuff is definitely expensive, but in some cases I find it to be worth it. I don't view the tools from a purely utilitarian point of view, things like; fit, finish, feel, warranty, and where they're manufactured all go into the buying process. I will check out some SP tools stuff, perhaps for a future video.
@hachi-rokuperformancegroup39874 ай бұрын
Sp tools are overpriced Taiwan tools with USA made pricing. Carlyle, sunex, tekton and many other good brands are better or the same quality for way less. Idk if their air tools are sp air from Japan or if they just use sp tools to seem like a better brand. If you are going to over pay might as well get American made tools and snap on isn't the only American made tool brand just the most expensive
