Out of my Wera, PB Swiss, and Snap-on ratcheting drivers, by far Snap-on has the best ratcheting mechanism, smooth like butter!

I’m not even a mechanic but I spend on the snap on as I don’t need a shit load for my car and bike work just general services , minor repairs and modifications so to me it’s worth it as no other ratcheting mechanism in the market is as smooth as snap on. You get what you pay for 👍🏻

At work we use torque drivers for installing cnc tooling, we have used plastidip to color code for different size bits and to add extra grip while using wet hands. I imagine you could tape off a portion of the knurling and add plastidip for a better purchase.

Thanks a lot sir, I think I will talk to the corporate to see if they know better than me why is this happening, Urrea tools are pretty good, but I have heard about those problems before, and just happens in USA, and kind of sad that you can't get a hold of it, maybe if they heard about this problem they will fix it one way or another.

If no ratchet screwdriver and a lot of screws, if possible, I use a speed handle with the appropriate tip

You should definitely try the Craftsman 4 volt gyroscopic screwdriver, I bought it and I use it for everything it's amazing! I think you would like it too.

Yeah Logan sometimes those cheap driver motors are perfect for assembly tasks. I have a cheap black and Decker one I bought while in college, I suppose I’d upgrade to the dewalt one similar to yours if I found myself to be an ikea man.

You seem to favor the most expensive tools. Have you compared less expensive tool to see what is best in long haul?

If I need to screw stuff fast, I twist the shaft with my fingers, unless I'm screwing a screw into wood that hasn't taken a screw before, or a cross threaded bolt. Using the shaft I can get speeds up to or faster than an electric screwdriver/maybe even a drill if it doesn't' require torque. I find the fingering shaft method to work the best on 8-12 inch fixed blade screwdrivers and long L-keys/t-handles because you can get both hands on the shaft. My favorite right now is the 10, or 12 inch klien can't remember the length. The method doesn't work too well on flat heads though because of their ability to slip out after the slightest turn.

First, i hate flathead slotted screws. Maybe they worked for the ancient Romans but their use today is pure silliness. I love the two or three finger twisting and that's where the PB Swiss ratchet driver shines. It is a smaller diameter handle and better grip than most with their rubbery coating.

@@lastbesttool I love pbswiss ratchet drivers. The ammount of precision on their ratcheting system is crazy. The middle position makes it feel like a fixed blade lol. I've been wanting to get one, but I have no clue where/who to buy them from. There's kind of a hidden gem of a stubby ratcheting screwdriver made by vessel. Just get one of their full sized ball ratcheting JIS screwdriver. The shank comes off and excepts their other shanks, and normal 1/4 bits. It was only $15 when I bought it, and you can put a crazy amount of torque on it.

eBay might be less expensive...or more so compare to the SO website. Truck? Well if you have ask then you probably have not established a relationship with your local SO truck dealer, but that is probably the best option. And online is straight forward , full retail, and you can use the warranty service just fine. However when ordering online, you need to spend $199 or more to get free shipping, Otherwise expect a healthy shipping charge.

Thanks for the info. When living outside of Chicago I would just see the big truck and stop to see what he had on special. Now live in the marshlands in Georgia with no town of any size close by. Miss those chance meetings at the truck,,always came away happy!

@@michaelthompson7570 I've called SO dealers to see when their route crossed paths with me. Sometimes there is a once a week trip out of town for the SO truck. Maybe check to see if a route hits somewhere nearby for a quick stop even if a highway pullout. The dealer wants to sell product so do buy something if you go through all that trouble. And asking the dealer over the phone if they have what you want will help. They can order it if not and you could pick it up in the future.
