Mine does the same, no click closed. When i asked my snap on guy about it he said they are all like that so it can be laid in a tool drawr and be popped open with one hand to get a bit. Thanks for showing other options.

Thanks Chris. However, I don't think that would work since I can barely open the thing with two hands. Plus it's a colossal waste of space if 8 bits take up 15 square inches of toolbox drawer. That's a square inch per bit. No, I think this bit case is for organized mobility. and the click is missing. In fact, the hinge resistance alone would require a greater mass in the case and a suction cup on the lild to open it one handed while in a tool box. IMHO, of course.

Your tool truck guy knows you’re gullible so he’ll tell you any ole made up story. Probably heard that one from his buddy and passed it on you.

If a snap-on product is purchased preowned from an individual, is the warranty still intact?

DAMN, THAT'S A KNIFE!

Sucks that a premium brand needs massaging but BOGO ftw right?! I'm sure Snap On has metrics on 'warranty multipliers' to establish and justify their price points. Tool truck operators have an 'emotional quota' on warranty it seems. Depends on how much and how often you buy. It's great that corporate is handling warranty seamlessly. I'll have to investigate how Snap On HQ in Canada goes about this. Beautiful blade Doc!

Oddly, while I was disappointed with my original bit box, I would have been disappointed with the replacement if it had actually worked. Instead I could tell myself "I told you so."

Interesting box. Looks like it's not ready for prime time.

Anyone have any experience buying tools from eBay and getting those warrantied online or on a truck?
@martinschaffmeir77294 жыл бұрын
I didn't buy from ebay but some old snap-on tools were here at this shop when i came to work here, i didn't buy them, a driver warranted a screwdriver and a 1/4 drive extension

I bought a pair of diagonal cutters that were super loose. Went through their process and less than a week later came a new pair. They are excellent!

I'm a New Subscriber Doc...Can I buy that case off of you. I Need 1

I doubt you will ever have a problem with getting a replacement on hand tools. Franchises dealers are a different animal, with the miss understanding for what Snap On warranty really covers, for things that are not covered under their lifetime warranty. As for QC, everything Snap On sells now is made in China with few exceptions.....

Lol that last statement is entirely untrue.

@@matthewsharpton9256 How so ?
@matthewsharpton92564 жыл бұрын
@@dragonrider93 less than 10% of snap on tools are made in China and it’s mostly things like doc is showing here. Sockets, wrenches, ratchets, and most of the pliers etc are all made in the USA. Adjustable wrenches are made in Spain by bahco.
@dragonrider934 жыл бұрын
@@matthewsharpton9256 The next time you are on the tool truck, look at the packages that the wrench's come in, it's a lot more then 10% that comes out of China..... I was going to buy a nice set of deep off set wrenches at 420 dollars.....And I would not have had a problem buying them if they had been made in the USA, but they where made in China. I'm not paying $ 420 for Chinesium.
