Snapchat Notification Not Working on iPhone & How to Fix!

So i set my favorite snap person to the widget on iPhone, when that individual person messages me and I message them, our snap notifications act as normal, I thought there would be a (1) symbol by the widget when that person messages you but it just comes up as a regular banner style notification which in my opinion ruins the experience for me.

Hi michael spencer, Go Snapchat, then tap on your name or bitmoji>Settings icon>Notification>turn on all the options. After doing that, restart Snapchat Notification Settings on iPhone. It should fix the issue.
