@@clawcakes2 They rewrote Knuckles's line after you save him as Classic, so now he asks what happened to his island. But they didn't change the animation of Classic rubbing his stomach, so it reads as "Where's my island?" "eated it......."

Fun fact: You can SIGNIFICANTLY lower your time on the Time Eater by regularly and repeatedly tapping the boost button, about once every 2-3 seconds. This is because the initial boost of speed the boost gives you when you press the button is faster than the boost itself. Doing this, I've beaten the Time Eater on Hard Mode in a minute and a half on the 360 version.

I think what makes the rewritten dialogue jarring isn't just that we're so used to the original's; it's because the lip flaps in cutscenes weren't updated to match them. So you're seeing their mouths move to fit the old dialogue but it doesn't always match up with the new stuff.

The first thing I did upon downloading the game was book it to green hill act 2 to see if they messed with the precious beautiful wonderful boost gameplay physics. They did not. I am happy. Especially since I was able to boot up the game and have it look pretty and run at a reasonable framerate out of the box, which is not something I could say for the previous PC version of Gens (though unfortunately it does mean I'm waiting for someone to make an updated version of the playable Blaze mod). You can lightspeed dash without unlocking it, I spent way too long on Chemical Plant to know otherwise (that opening trick is very fiddly). As far as I can tell the detection for actually setting it off is better too: Whenever I make it to the ring trail I'm able to activate it instead of falling too fast for it to count like in the original.

Really? I experienced the opposite, though my copy is PS4. There's things I remember doing that I can't anymore. That shortcut with a red star ring in Chemical Plant sends you in the wrong angle, and I couldn't jump off the merging rail in Sky Sanctuary. Am I misremembering?

That always behaved funky if you were boosting, at least in my experience playing the old PC version of the game. Also not sure which chemical plant shortcut you're referring too, but I was able to take my regular route with zero issue.

In Chemical Plant there's a red star ring on a downward slope before an upward slope. A shortcut will launch you to it, but every time, it sends me in an angle that doesn't remotely line up with the ring. I remember the original being similar, but it's worse here.

So, while playing the game, I realized that the "bug" on the Blaze level is actually from hitting the first enemy straight into the second one, so it dies right before your homing attack reaches it, leaving you to plummet to your death. Not really a bug, more just accidental level design flaw xD

Ok I knew I wasn’t crazy, on my own playthrough I thought something about the Metal Sonic cutscene was off and after checking I realized the music is synced differently! In the original cutscene you start the cutscene at the exact start of the track so the “turn it up, get down!” Happens when you switch to gameplay. But in SXSG it starts later in the track with the “turn it up, get down!” Happening when classic Sonic jumps up the rubble.

For the record, that wasn't a homing attack bug. Blaze is just able to take out the iblis creatures, so if you try to take out the fire before homing attacking in that section, Blaze will get to it first

I honestly would love if they remade Sonic 06 but made it like that one Resident Evil remake where its kind of a sequel to the game. It would be so awesome to go through the game made good, only to realize halfway through they're not only making the story better but a realization that it isnt the original story

It's kinda weird but I think the Shadow you fight in the Rival Battle is taken by the Time Eater from the time of SA2. The Shadow that appears at the final boss is taken from "current" time. Otherwise it doesn't make sense why current Shadow would want to kill Sonic in the Rival Battle even without the context of Shadow Generations. I'm guessing Shadow Generations could explain why Shadow was at the final boss even though he wasn't at Sonic's birthday in the beginning, gonna watch your playthrough of it right now
