Going from 4200 Geekbench to 5100 with the same efficiency while using the same node is a pretty massive upgrade in my opinion. The GPU is even bigger of an improvement being even faster and more efficient. Also Apple is allegedly using the N4P node which gives them even better performance just from the node while Qualcomm use the N4 node which is about 10% slower.

The 9200 in the x90 seems to have been the UFS 3.1 128GB version. Also Notice the cooling on the X90 vs the X90 Pro+ only has less than half the size. The x90 is a premium midrange/flagship killer - not a flagship phone. Hence the 9200 will actually be closer to the Snapdragon in the same kind of phone. From what I have seen in other reviews the 9200 is more energy efficient - but a little less fast than 8 Gen 2 overall.

I can see Apple going with 3x3 HP x HE cores with 6 GPU cores in the future with maybe some advanced battery optimization app. Idk why phones stiill don't have the ability to disable CPU cores like it is possible on desktop. not really, these benchmark scores mean very less We'll have to see because even 8 gen 1 and gen 1+ score higher than the a16 but the a16 is still more stable and cooler in gaming and destroys them in single and multi core performance not to mention that games are more optimised on iOS We will have to wait for proper gaming tests to see if the 8 gen 2 heats in gaming and whether if its stable My money is still on the a16 beating it even though it is a small jump over its predecessor the a15

Yeah gen 2 seems like a beast. Imo the best snapdragon evolution after the 865. 888 was a complete joke and just a way to allow companies to release another flagship a year later after the 865 ones, and gen 1 altho good is way too hot (hence why it throttles). Basically if you don't want to play Fortnite, Apex, or CoD a good amount of best western games are locked to Apple Arcade. It's really annoying Apple crippled Android gaming just as it was kind of catching up a few years ago.
