It's official, Matco just told me that their manufacturer for Adv is now China! I will be getting rid of all my adv just as I did with Sunex... I hope GP doesn't leave Taiwan, they're my fave sockets. Great deep sockets have the best bolt clearance than all other deep socket brands.

That’s the problem with Matco and why I stopped buying from them years ago. Since they don’t manufacture anything, they’re always at the mercy of their suppliers.

I'm with you Don. I have Sunex, I love Sunex. But if I'm going to get that Capri looking shite impact, forget it. Folks love Sunex the way they are !

I Love my Snap-on prybars, especially the Snap-on handles. MAC has the absolute best USA made impact swivels on the market. My Snap-on swivels are too soft and the anvil has beat out the drive end on them.

The swivel part of the new one looks exactly like these lexivons I got off amazon. Like exactly the same and both come from the same factory.

Speaking of the ADV line. It’s actually humorous that Gearwrench was supplying Matco’s Silvereagle universal impact sockets, get sold and switch to Sunex supplied ADV sockets, only for Sunex to change COO and go back to that trash design that Matco Silvereagle started with.

Agree the sunex quality has slipped whlie price has drastically went up over past couple years, of coarse that being said what company hasnt, think we all know how that works, Problem for me is price increases dont bother me so much as long as quality is being up held, just hate increase for same ole products being pumped otta china while companys still chargeing the higher quality price. It's really a shame that Sunex is now manufacturing sockets in China. Unfortunately that seems to be the trend amongst the mid tier tool manufacturers. Gearwrench has been made in China for quite awhile now. I've always preferred Snap-on, Mac or Matco but they have become well out of my budget. At the rate things are going there aren't going to be too many decent mid tier choices left.
