No rho is only a letter when used in the greek language but when used as in physics in the form of density, it becomes a symbol.

@@Hammy003 no you are wrong. The letter rho is a greek letter no matter in what context it is used in because it was not created separately. It was taken from the greek alphabet. We use x and y in equations. All my teachers refer to them as letters, not symbols. So you are wrong
