those were awesome, I loved the bearclaws in both. Crazy chops.

Ya'll are definitely my favorite drummers on youtube. You show that the drummer makes the drum and the drum doesn't make the drummer. Our line is all DCI sized Dynasty everything and we have these two hothead black girls who think they're amazing just because they have Dynastys. Now me and my tenor partner are a different story. I'm not as good as ya'll but he is.

@rikuantu lol, ur supposed to use your thumb, your thumb and index finger are the main focus in your traditional fulcrum as well as being the smallest muscles in your fulcrum, same concept as matched grip, ur back fingers are the smallest muscles in your grip and in turn can move faster

Looks as though a Pearl® FFX-1412 was used for this vid; Yamaha® has a close competitor in the MTS-9214. I'm looking for a better Tama®/Hoshino® snare than came with my New Imperialstar kit, ideally with a double-action strainer and Buzz Killer Mute-equipped gut frame. Will a resto-mod 14"x6" Metalworks do the job, or need I spring for the new 14"x9" Marching soprano snare?

You guys are great. Have fun and make sure you guys have a good career to fall back on because music doesn't pay the bills and the chicks only think it's cool when your dating. After your married...you better bring home the bacon. But you guys are cool....keep up the good work. I give you 4 out of 4 stars.

alot of people when doing traditional grip will have the middle finger off the stick, it doesnt, or at least isn't supposed to, serve a purpose in traditional grip unless you use it for speed sticking

but it doesn't seem to affect his playing. the stick height and speed looks the same as his right hand. i'm sure if it was an issue, his instructor would've corrected it.

Arm movement is cool man. He isn't marching in a line, its a solo. Plus, not using any arm is unnatural and messes with comfort as well as sound quality. Also, how would the way he is standing affect the sound?

very nice, pay attention to the approach to grace notes. sometimes they are open and meaty, then sometimes they are closed and flat (Which is also a good choice) If you chose to have both interps, make it more apparent. other than that, nice job!

it has nothing to do with muscles, if you flex your muscles while playing you´ll get stiff. Double strokes are the key here. So you can actually be weak (as opposed to fit) and still be this fast and accurate.
