Purchased a Reserve Max+ on 3/8/24. Shipped via USPS on 3/21/24. Scheduled to be delivered 3/26/24. Only beef is that the USPS shipping label was created on 3/15/24 and I received an unsolicited email from Xymox on 3/16/24 saying the item would ship on 3/18/24 or 3/19/24. It didn't. I messaged Xymox back on 3/20/24 letting them know the item had not shipped. I received a response back on 3/21/24 saying they would investigate and the item was shipped that day.

I saw this video and took another chance on getting a Xymox pad and I'm happy to say that I finally got one. I ordered a Reserve Max+ on 1-21-2024, I received a USPS tracking number on 1-31-2024 and the pad came in today. ( 2-8-2024...~14 business days as advertised) Also during this time I received roughly six emails from Xymox letting me know the status of the order. I'm very pleased with the feel of the pad and for comparison I have almost every mainstream marching pad ever made including the original RealFeel from the late 80's. Maybe things have turned around. One side note is that I ordered the exact model Kirk got thinking they would be likely to have it in stock. I'm not sure if this played into my short delivery time. One interesting detail was that the pad shipped from Caldwell, ID and not from Yakima, WA where the company is located. Your mileage may vary but I'm glad I took the chance this time.

My son ordered and received a Xymox pad 4ish years ago. it took about 3 months to arrive here in Honolulu and the shipping cost was ridiculous, it was almost the same as the price of the pad. He chose a fully custom colorway. I just ordered one for myself on Thursday, 08/31/2023. The pad is significantly less expensive now and shipping is only $22, thats not bad out here, and yhey were having a labor day "sale". I'll let you know when it gets here.

This is the only review that I can find on KZbin of the new xymox pad design. They changed the design of the pad back in November of 2022. It now has a double rim which the older pads did not. The snare mechanism is also different. It is now circle and it used to be square. Also the old pads came with a pad to stop the snare sound, it no longer includes that. With that being said, I ordered and received a reserve max + pad about 4 months ago. I LOVE it! We all know the bad history of xymox. They are much better now. My pad come in one month with frequent shipping updates. They did however send my pad with the wrong color lugs,(they sent me the color i actually wanted, i didn’t go with my gut, so honestly happy i got the ones I wanted!). I sent them an email and asked if I can get the correct color lugs that i ordered and they sadly never responded. I think I’ll send a follow up email. With all that being said, if you’re thinking of getting a pad from xymox I highly recommend and think it is safe to get nowadays!

I've been around long enough to own their first snare bead pad and it was awesome. I remember when everyone got cheated out of the hybrid snare drum. BUT, I do believe they are under new management and operating completely differently. I ordered a Hybrid Snare drum, the Reserve max Plus, and two of the cheaper ones (the low pro plus). Got all four of them and love them. Shipping never took more than 3 weeks from date of order to at my door.

Man... I feel like anything that xymox comes up with just won't be good enough for me personally. I wanted to get one of their hybrid snares but after hearing the reviews and how shipping delays and bad quality snare drumming was a factor, I just gave up on the whole brand. Besides, RCP drum pads just came out with a hybrid snare that blows xymox drum pads out of the water. You guys should check it out. I'm definitely ordering that drum pad from RCP.

I believe they are under new ownership, they have next day shipping available now and they discontinued two lines of their pads just to probably wash their hands with everything they're not making new, which sucks bs I want a couple more ultras 😂 at least the reserve max + is amazing!

From everything I have heard they are doing better with shipping stuff out that they have sold recently. But in good faith, I can not recommend anyone buying a pad from this company and supporting them. My family is still waiting for two pads from 2020 and to my current knowledge we have heard nothing. My buddy ordered a 200 dollar tenor pad in december to prepare for an audition in may. The pad didnt arrive until 7 months after the audition, the following December. Theyre a sketchy company.

It’s like their company policy is this: Offer customers lots of options when designing their pads, but keep the pads until you feel ready to ship them out. No guarantee it will work, but several folks have contacted them recently about missing orders and have gotten either refunds or their orders taken care of. Hopefully you'll get one or the other.

@@KirksDrumRoom I ordered their hybrid pad in 2020 and also purchased a 2-week guarantee (which is quite funny). In 2022, I realized that I still hadn't received my pad. When I logged into the website, I discovered that my account had disappeared. Their customer service replied to me symbolically with two emails, and then they completely ignored me.

I have the hybrid pad once they did direct shipment and got it fast. So when this one came up for a discount I ordered one. They never sent shipping information and never responded to emails until I threatened to fight the credit card charges, then they came back with childish attitudes and zero accountability. I got the pad over a month later randomly and it wasn't the same I ordered (was a black carbon skin, black body and gold hardware) what I got was black body, brown carbon and silver hardware. So yeah, not correct. It's a decent pad, but as you stated before, it's like playing on a kitchen table. I do like it but was it worth the price and the hassle? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Way over priced and the company is back to their old tricks. I can't recommend it enough not to deal with xymox ever and I never will again. My Ahead metal rim marching pad is just as good and comparable to this one at a smaller price point and available everywhere. That was my experience. I hope it helps anyone else

Ordered the hybrid snare when they first came out worst decision ever it never came been waiting for few months and couple of years nope never came been emailing them they kept promising that its shipped and on its way LIARS should have payed close attention on reviews of their other pads and how long it took to get shipped if you want an rcp pad they are the ones to get they ship faster and it will arrive at your house more quicker than xymox

My only hope is that they are actually under new ownership, and are getting the brand into a more positive light. Truth is it's going to take a LONG time to undo what has been done.
