@@Justwalks people gloss over that one for some reason. It definitely belongs with the others though. I think Lock Stock was the first, then Snatch was the biggest commercially especially with Brad Pitt involved. So when RocknRolla came out people knew what to expect and saw it as more of the same. Gentlemen got a little of that too, but it was a long time after it came out, was during Matthew McConaughey’s high point, and is the most recent

Mickey didn't kill Gorgeous George, he just knocked him out and severely injured him so he couldn't fight. Turkish says during the narration that if Mickey had killed him then they would then kill Tommy next, bury the two of them, and move to a new camp sight.

Jason Statham is awesome in this movie, but Brad Pitt was next level. He completely transforms himself for each role he plays. Plus he always picks amazing scripts from well know and up-and-coming directors. Think of the flicks he's done Fight Club, 12 MOnkeys, Benjamin Button, Seven, Legends of the Fall. Guy Ritchie spent about 8 year in development for this movie. He had the whole concept laid out but wanted to get a professional writer to put the movie in script format. He couldn't get anyone to write what he had in his head so he ended up learning to script write so he could write it himself. The dialogue is so amazing and comedy gold yet at the same time being deadpan serious situations. So awesome.

It's not close at all, people always say that and it just isn't the case. They are both directed by the same bloke and both feature cockney gangsters but that's pretty much where the similarities end. Snatch has a lot of punch lines, silly gags and silly situations that makes the audience smile and laugh, verging on the side of a comedy film, like the guy said it reminds him of a Coen brothers production. Lock Stock has a couple of comedic irony moments but that's it. It is not a funny film at all, it's got a much darker vibe to it and is much more about violence and the East End criminal underworld so much so that there is a heavy colour grade on it to make it seem even more dirty and gritty. On top of that the soundtrack is a lot more depressing, most of the tunes are in a minor key with the running theme music in a diminished 7th to emphasise the sense of misery and hopelessness. On the surface they seem like very similar films but when you watch them you realise how very different they are and the feelings and emotions you go through when watching them are totally different.

@@amazingusername8925 a few punch lines? Lock Stock is not as funny as Snatch but it has witty humor all over the place. One may not burst into laughter but it's usually enjoyed with at least a smirk on your face.

I had quite a time with _Carlito's Way._ Went to see it with a couple friends when it was in theaters. Got about halfway through it, though not for lack of interest. It was a cloudy day which turned rainy, and then a bit stormy as we entered the building. About halfway, the theater had to evacuate due to a tornado being spotted in the vicinity on a path that could include the theater. Everyone got vouchers as they exited. The ride back home, fortunately, went without incident, and the theater ended up not being hit, but by the time I had a chance to get back there, the movie's theater run had already ended. Had to wait until it was on video to see the rest. Very much worth the wait, of course. So, I've always remembered it for not only being a great movie, but also a bit of an ordeal.

I remember watching this in highschool for the first time with my girlfriend, around 2007-08 and I had to stop the movie when Tommy throws out the milk because I realized what was gonna happen and completely geeked out. My girl laughed at me so hard, I always acted like a tough guy then had a complete nerd moment lol one of the best real moments in my life

an awesome connection between two movies: in Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos asks the Collector (played by Benicio del Toro) "Where is the stone?" in the same voice that Benicio asks the guy they rob at the start of Snatch. lol

The two robbers were trying to push the door open and they needed to pull. That’s why Tyron opened it by pushing from the other side. The only opened one way ha

I think Sin City said it best. "Never give an Irishman cause for revenge" but it was played out best in Snatch. Lock Stock, you gotta do that one next. Lock Stock and Snatch seem to have the same effect as the first 2 Python Movies. We love them both, almost as much but we each have a personal favourite, mine's Lock Stock. I prefer Big Chris's fate over Tony's. :)

They weren't set up at the bookies. The bets were off because "they lots gorgeous George" and the bets were gonna take place at the accual fight with a replacement fighter.

If you've heard that the food in London sucks, then you need to berate the one who told you that and maybe give them a slap, because they are a fool. London is one of the biggest metropolitan business hubs in the world. It's a cosmopolitan mix of European, Asian, and African cultures. Some of the largest ethnic groups in London are French, Indian, and Caribbean. The food is fantastic.
