Snatch blocks are imo the best defensive plays a player can do. You stop the offense from scoring, and secure the ball for your team so that they can initiate the fast break. On top of that, there’s the humiliation factor that comes from just eating your opponent’s shot that you don’t get as much from a steal. Every time I see one I get excited.

I used to do this all the time back in my younger days in the military playing pick up ball. I'm not that tall at 5'11", but my shoe size is almost a 14, hands are a little over 9", and my wingspan is about 82". Needless to say I'm physically bigger than my height would suggest. I was definitely a good basketball when I young, but I was a much better leaper, and pretty creative in the air for the time. I'm 50 now so my dunking and blocking days are long gone, but I have to admit I wish I was young enough to try some of the dunks that these kids are doing today. Also just in case anyone wanted to know, I was measured back in the day with about a 43" vertical (unofficially), I never knew what my max vertical was.
