Chloe Bailey and her sis always look feminine and they have long locs.

I had instant locks and combed them out after 2 months because I didn’t feel pretty or feminine . Especially when I would go out with my friends and they had lace fronts, braids, slick ponytails etc. It’s been a year and I regret that decision to comb them out 🤦🏾‍♀️. The work definitely starts within ✨❤️ I’ll be starting my loc journey again this weekend 😁Thank you for this video and you look beautiful btw ☺️

Thank you! And I can definitely relate, especially being around other woman with wigs/ponytail/braids, however it does get easier over time. Best wishes on your new loc journey, I hope everything works out for you this time ♥️

I would also maybe recommend doing styles over ur locs, i have has locs over two years but there are times that i simply want my locs to be longer, not that ive seen locs themselves as not feminine. You can do box braids, loc extensions or faux locs and even wigs over dreads depending on your loc thickness etc im actually gonna do my own jumbo box braids on my shoulder length locs tomorrow lol

Started snacking (lol not bingeing cause I've been working lol) on your videos yesterday because Ive been literally researching this for the last few years. Ive always told myself I'd do it in my 40's or 50's. But here I am at 32, 7 years natural and tiredddd lol. Ive considered a relaxer. But pre-natural, my relaxed hair never really "gave what it was supposed to give".Also I'm not a fan of flat/straight hair. Like you, Ive always pretty much (not always) done my own hair because.... when I'm patient and have time, I like my work better... If I do say so myself. Your starter loc video was the EUREKA for me! Now watching more updates, I know I am ready. I am 2 strand twisting tomorrow. Me😊. That in itself is so empowering ...but my point in my mini essay was WOWOWOOWOWO your spirit and beauty radiates and resonates. I HAD to let you know.... even if you don't see this... This video is validation and confirmation!!! Thank you for your affirmations!!!!!! You literally told me what I needed to hear without me ever speaking to you! THANK YOU from me and the many women you are encouraging!

Thank you so much for this comment. Believe it or not, I also experience a lot of doubt and hesitancy with my loc journey and my channel overall. Receiving comments like this is also confirmation for me and reaffirms my purpose with this channel. Wishing you nothing but the best along your loc journey ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

This was such a great video! I’ve been on the fence about starting locs because I was scared I wouldn’t look ‘feminine’, but everything you mentioned was valid.

This was such a really good follow up to your first video-especially hearing your thoughts after 2 years of locs. Black women cab have such difficult time w how we present. But your points I absolutely agree with and I’ll be checking out more of your vids! P.S your make up is beautiful!

How far along are you in your journey? Unravelling is pretty common in the early stages, it should eventually calm down after awhile.

Mine are the same way. And I love the uniqueness of my locs. I knew I didnt want a ‘manicured’ set of locs and I intentionally started my locs different sizes. I love them!
