The entire last half of this season is bonkers crazy. Possibly the best run of episodes in the whole show. That isn't to say there aren't plenty of great episodes left, but this is the point where it's been long enough you are getting some big answers but also there's enough time left to still set up even more crazy things. The further you get the more it becomes about resolving things and you have fewer interesting threads being developed, which is kinda the strength of the show, and likely why Martin found it hard to write the last few books (which he still hasn't finished).

tbh Jamie would be the best champion for Tyrion. Then Cersei would just pick someone who would lose to Jamie. But I guess Prince of Dorne being his champion would be a better plot twist

11:11 i think the feelings that Jorah has are not the feelings that he had. They seem (to my eye) to be somewhere between worship of a living miracle and protecting a singular beauty from the dirt inherent in ruling a filthy and violent world... the echoes of his desire are fading, but still enough to muddle his thinking. I haven't read the books (which i hear lean much harder into the lust part, (but Martin's presentation of ideas such as "Love", "Family", and "Marriage" are suspect at best, and horrifying on average)). So i am only going by what i've seen in the shows (and i see the world with my own eyes, subject to their own prejudices. I believe Jorah is learning how to sort his feelings into how to best (capital "S") Serve his Queen

So, lady arynn....Lysa There were some details left out from the books. Petyr had sex when he was younger. When he was a ward to house Tully. Cat and Lysa use to play a kissing game with Petyr. Then one night, he was really drunk, and Lysa went to him, and they had sex. During that encounters, Petyr moaned Cat's name. The books are clear, before giving this story, that Petyr would constantly claim that he and Cat had sex. Then, much later, Lysa gives over this story to Sansa.....and everything makes sense. Petyr honestly believes that he had sex with Cat. He was simply too drunk to realize that it was actually Lysa. Lysa knew and understood the concept of competition. She just didn't understand that the game was already lost. She loved Petyr Petyr love Cat Cat loved Brandon brother of Edward Brandon died, so Cat married Edward And according to the books, of memory serves me, Edward actually loved someone else, but put his feelings away, to do his duty All of that is a major mess

So many reactors keep saying "back then" as if Game of Thrones is a historical document. Um... there are dragons? It's not "back then", it's fictional.

The reason they do this is because the only basis of comparison to anything we all are familiar with in the real world would be things that have existed “back then” in our world. i.e swords, medieval tech, kings, etc. A lot of the behavior in the show actually happened “back then” regardless of the fantasy elements or fictional dragons.

I imagine a lot of what was done with the wall over the years is less about what's best and what's possible at the time. The Night's Watch hasn't had prized recruits to fill their builder ranks in decades (if not centuries). Though I suspect the reason is really it just sounds cooler.

A lot of people think it was an error on the part of the producers. It DOES pose a problem with continuity. Just, tuck that bit of info away in the back of your mind

I'm just wondering where it's even coming from considering that throughout the series everyone calls her Cat; at no point has anyone called her Kate. And I do apologize if I'm constantly harping on this but people consistently mispronouncing names are just a huge peeve of mine because in real life encounters it comes off as disrespectful, particularly if the name is part of someone's cultural identity. It's something I see in particular with Westerners, as if they can't be bothered to make the effort to learn and pronounce someone's name correctly (and so I doubly appreciate the effort when they do). And full disclosure from my end, Pinoy din ako. I do love your reactions, particularly when you lapse into Tagalog, so just get a handle on those names and tatahimik na ko. 😃 PS.
