Sneak Peek At The Ultimate Jew At Work 3: Jews & Gentiles

Here's a look at my current Broadway show. This is one of my classic routines that from time to time I throw in because it's my last show. People say that everybody is the same and that I shouldn't generalize about people, but if that were true there would be no such thing as the study of comparative culture. This is a light hearted routine about the differences between Jews and Gentiles. Enjoy.

As an Australian , I only discovered Jackie Mason here on KZbin about 6 months ago. What a brilliant comedian he was. I think I’ve now watched all of his material and he’s kept me in stitches. It just goes to show, you can be super funny without the F word being used in every sentence. Jackie reminds me of the Welsh comedian Jethro. Another guy that would have you rolling in the aisles without swearing. 2 fantastic comedians that have now passed on. RIP fellas. 🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸🇬🇧

There are Jewish people that work with their hands. A Jewish guy where I work has a father who is a car mechanic. My mother once hired a Jewish handyman named "Schlomo" to put up some wall cabinets for her. With all due respect, Mr. Mason tends to generalize too much, sometimes.

There is no mayonnaise on Earth that contains any milk or milk products. Everybody (certainly every Jew) puts mayo on a white-meat chicken or turkey sandwich (which can be rather dry) and everyone incorporates mayo in chicken salad.

Jews contributed a lot to theoretical science and law, but in America, for some reason relatively few Jews went into engineering. In Israel, it's different, but I was just commenting on the joke. The same for my Solomon's temple remarks.

Madam. I don't support any religion, though I was baptised in a C of E church. I soon dropped that nonsense when I was old enough to know better. But I remember enough to know that Jesus is dead. As a Gentile/agnostic I get absolutely fucking sick of that rich/greedy Jewish stereotype.Most of my friends and mother in law are Jewish.The vast majority are social workers or similar who barely squeak by financially.If you're insecure or bitter and need to hate someone, you mnight want to find a concrete reason.Then you might not make quite such a fool of yourself.

Oh yes there is. Look up real jewish kosher guide uk. It goes to kosher org uk site(if it says US there it stands for united synagogue!), then search for hellman and it shows you Mayonnaise Real is Parev, Mayonnaise Light is Dairy. BTW the ingredients are probably different to the United States version.The UK one I think doesn't use Soy(except on pesach as maybe it goes american).The US one maybe always has Soy. And maybe the US(United States) ones, real and light,r Parev I don't know(cont)

Most people prefer pure comedy and don't care about Jew issues. The Three Stooges were Jews but didn't feel the need to ram their religion down people's throats . They were genuinely funny... My nephew is trying to launch a career as a "funnyman",.. he's the Jackie Mason of Atheists,.. a one trick pony, so to speak.

You have to be Jewish to appreciate Jewish humor. Robin Williams wasn't Jewish and he was a great comedian, as was John Belushi. You miss the point, Ger. You don;t understand the pathos and soul of Jewish life and how Mason captures it perfectly. He was a great star, certainly not among the great comedy geniuses including Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Robin Williams, George Carlin, John Belushi and Eddie Murphy before his career turned to crap.

+Don Cohen As a gentile, I must disagree. Les Ger loves the Stooges, but I prefer the Marx Brothers. A lot has to do with culture. I grew up in San Francisco, and I knew a lot Jewish people growing up, and learned to understand and appreciate their abrasiveness and humor. As I put it my friends in Israel, "you guys are an acquired taste." When I went to the Garden Tomb, a famous Christian site in Jerusalem which some believe is THE tomb of Jesus, I saw that one of the two places to lay bodies was left unfinished. Seeing this, I imagined the man who owned the tomb didn't want to be put in there: "No--when I die, don't you dare put me in that tomb! It's defective! The last guy came back!" Maybe to FULLY appreciate it, yes, I'd have to be Jewish, but to just appreciate it, grok it, love it, not so much.

+Les Ger if a Muslim comedian has a genuinely funny routine about it, yes, certainly. And in fact, being in Israel for seven years, in an Arab neighborhood, there was a lot of humor to be observed. Like the "Palestinians" being upset with the Jewish Israelis, and thus boycotting themselves by closing their own businesses--meaning they'd have to shop at Jewish establishments. Or claiming their civil rights were being violated by the Jerusalem authorities, and then boycotting the municipal elections. While that's not specifically Muslim, that's still funny.
