I’ve had incredible swelling to deal with and I walked like Captain Lee for a long time, that’s why I sympathize with him. Because he was doing better when the season started, and THEN it got progressively worse. He waited a reasonable amount of time to see if it would turn around, and when it didn't, he did the right thing. Also, there are backup engineers who know how to navigate the boat.

I thought that was scary too because he had recently been operated on and returning to work so soon made no sense and its possible he injured himself further. Even though he does not do anything strenuous-- different operations require maintaining less movement than he was able to do. The only danger was to himself since there is other crew besides what we see.

That’s why she always feels attacked bc instead of just telling her what she’s doing wrong they make passive aggressive snarky remarks when all she’s doing is going off what she knows her job description to be which is essentially *wait for instruction* if she got instruction to assist you with the deck but nothing else specifically any neurodivergent person would take that to literally mean *only* assist with deck until further instruction is given. Handing her s bottle and saying “do you want this” isn’t “hey take this and pour the guests drink now that you’re done unloading this is your next assignment” like..
