Im not a fan of monica at all. I think she lied about the meeting of her family. I feel like her plan was to say she was meeting them and so conveniently they cancel two hours before . I also think her mom is in on it to bash her that way she creates more drama to stay on the show. With that said i do think the mom and her relationship is that bad and her mom is not all that there which is why them creating that plan is not unusual. Monica is very similar to her mom. She might be a better mom and works on that but for her to have an affair with her brother inlaw and have her kids not throw that in her face as trauma which would put her in similar shoes as her mother would be surprising to me . She can dish it but she can not take it. The way she is being portrayed on the show she is using her bad childhood to manipulate and throw tantrums.
