Wow the market totally changed since this first went on sale. It ended up going to auction and finally sold for $17.5 million. When the house was first listed in 2021 the price was $48.5 million, meaning it sold for just over a third of the original asking price.

Well i think it mostly has to do with that the main usable residence is 12k sf, that museum is really just an extra that cant be priced like/along w the residence. High teens seems very appropriate for this, specially Pasadena, its beautiful/historic etc but it cannot command astronomical prices like bel air/beverly hills as those buyers are just not in Pasadena. So strangely I would say this is mayyybe more of a reflection of Josh not understanding the pasadena market and just pricing it like it was more of his day to day neighborhoods like i mentioned.
