Was at work listening to the album and this song comes on and I had to pause everything I was doing just to really listen to it. Completely caught me by surprise. I love it, so much so that I had to listen to it another 2 times before I continued with the rest of the album.

This song leached onto me after my cousin had an overdose two days ago and it came on the radio. Not sure what it means but I’ve never heard of sneakier pimps until this year. And when I heard news of my gma passing imagine dragons wrecked came on the radio shortly after I heard. So now I associate and remember them through music. The songs seem to match their energy.

Ngl, kinda feel frustrated seeing all those comments from people whining that this album doesn't sound like old SP. Just like in the old sp videos you always see some mf complaining about kelly not being the singer anymore. But i suppose thats to be expected after such a long break. I just hope Chris and Liam keep making music together

This IS totally old school SP sound brought to modern times. This track is the natural evolution of the sound they were developing in tracks like 6 Underground. That kind of "morning vibes" atmospheric trip-hop.

I think a lot of the people dissatisfied with the album are those that think in terms of genre/style rather than in terms of composition. Also, each of the original SP albums (as well as the demos) sounded very different from each other, so it's very easy for people to set expectations and disappoint themselves. I didn't know what to expect, but I really dig it.

I always get frustrated about bands that never change. I love to see artists growing and trying new things. If I enjoy older records, I don't expect to hear the same over and over. I just enjoy older records :D but I really like most songs from this album too, even tho Splinter is my all time favourite 💗 I hope they will continue recording new things

I might even say that, in the case of sp, their own personal style of composition shared some characteristics with trip hop, but that genre was not necesarily one that they adhered strongly to throughout their carrer. Trying to say they betrayed their old sound or genre seems to me very vague and subjective
