In this exclusive with sneaker enthusiast Mayor, he gives us his take on why and compares the Supreme Air Forces to a similar release from nearly 10 years ago. However, stating that he is a fan of Supreme and their collabs, he explains that sneakers are priced at whatever number people are willing to pay.
Along with the outlandish prices Mayor is astonished at what kids spend on kicks, and he posed a question to sneakerheads that continues to puzzle him and more than likely others with similar ideals about the sneaker culture.

Resellers/hypebeast have been cancerous to the sneaker game for the last 5+ years overpricing/overpaying for shit. I can't front I've played a part on both ends but eventually gave up when it became the trend. I was copping up until about 2011 when it was friendly. Imo things changed for the worse after the concord re-release in 2011 and then with the yeezy 1/2 bs.Before that most retros were sitting on shelves for months. You could cop anything that wasn't a real limited release easily. Perfect example 2011 white cements. Picked up 2 more pairs months after release for $150. Go back further to '05-06 and resale after a year for most retros was $200. Even Space Jam resale in 2009 was only $300. Now resale is $250-300 minimum for any garbage shoe and nearly 2x that for the best 3s, 4s, 11s and 13s. The original pigeon SB was one of the few releases where people got crazy.

I have a site that says they make their UA's from the same factory as the originals with the same materials. I think most every UA manufacturer is doing it from the same factory. Maybe people making fakes are getting it done at a different factory or from people with shitty machines in some basement idk. But UA's these days are almost impossible to tell from the real without a real pair with you. Nothing fits with jeans and skinny jeans like air forces do. Especially the low tops that's my favorite but the mids fit woth jeans good too. Alpt of my style choice of shoes.
