The main problem with mozzies in Thailand is usually Dengue Fever (Breakbone Fever). It is pretty awful and can kill, but you probably won't go anywhere where it is a problem. Same with Malaria, but definitely avoid mozzies anywhere. Over three decades here, and I haven't met it yet. But a neighbour's kid had it and died because the private hospital didn't treat it properly.
